I have dealt with a chap called Shaun now for about 10 years as a customer.
As luck would have it he never considered the coupe, mainly sticking to Jap motors.

However he came out in my 2litre around Donington in November last year and after that he was hooked.

I told him all about Spa and he saved up some pennys to do all the work.
However we struggled to find a car for him.
So 3 weeks prior to Spa he rang me up and said,-

''I need to ask something silly
I need around 500bhp'',as to which i said ''is that all,no probs''.
''Let me finish'' He said
''I need it in 3 weeks'',as to which i said ''oh''...
And finally i need a coupe as i dont have one and it must be an LE in black.

Good Lord i said,we are wasting time talking, leave it with me.
managed to find a Black LE in Lincoln looking very sorry for itself.
I bought the car slightly over budget and paid too much for a not so well looked after car.
But couldnt be fussy with the time we had.

I got on the phone to CR Turbo,My clutch specialists,Gaz suspension,Pro alloy and my silicone hose supplier.
Melting my credit card in one day i managed to get hold of most of the parts for delivery that week.

Work starts

Dropped the engine and began cleaning and transferring the parts across to the other engine.

Underneath required everything that moved to be replaced.
Arms,brake lines bushes,links,gaiters,boots,etc etc etc.

Both the NSF and the NSR springs were snapped

So with all the parts now with me assembly began.

Now with the engine back in the car and running with a never tried before turbo(Garrett but rebuilt very differently)

With several 4am finishes i took the car down to Flea and got him to map her.
We only had a day due to us both being busy and we ran into a few issues.
Between us we found a leak from the dump valve and gapped the plugs lower.
After that it ran faultless.
Unsure of the power yet but we guessed at a good 450-470php would be a moderate estimation.

On the Wednesday before we went to Spa i dropped the car off at his house.
At this point he had never driven the car,so his first time would be on the way to Belgium followed by testing its legs on the most challenging and high speed GP circuit in Europe

Heres the car at Spa

I will let Shaun post up some pictures of it around the track

Heres him doing some last minute levels checks

And heres a picture of him smiling after he had just been around the track.

car ran faultlessly all weekend with over 1000 miles and some 4 hours of track time covered.

Literally everything other than the interior was replaced on it.
From standard to one of the best modified coupes in 3 weeks including mapping.
I will update the pictures when i can,was so busy doing the work that didnt have much time to take pictures.

So for those wondering what the hell was under the bonnet of this discreet LE the secret is now revealed.
