SICB day Hopetoun House After a good turnout and a great day at Hill of Tarvit hope as many folk and more can make it for this. Still good value at £5 for exhibitors - be good to see the west coasters this time! Show is from 10.30 to 3.00 - we need to be there from 10.00 to secure a pitch. All Italian car and bikes welcome!

Myself (and possibly mrs Jimbob) plan to attend, although we may be forced to use the Yaris as the Coop repairs have been temporarily delayed due to us recently discovering (at the ripe old age of 32) that we're expecting our 1st mini Jimbob... Hey congratulations, so the Aldi tool-buy worked Only one organ-players' joke allowed now, I'm done What needs done to the coop?

Just steadily undoing the previous owners bodges and fixing everything properly. It's taken 4 months so far. I'll be posting some pics of the work done so far when i get a chance.

Getting there. Have good days and bad days. Somedays I feel like its getting better really quickly then I wake up next morning and it's badly Swollen. Just need to take it as it goes.
As for this event - I'm doubtful tbh.

Hi everyone, Nice to see we'll have some of you guys along on the day. In our 4th year now, the Scottish Italian Car and Bike Day 2011 attracted over 350 cars and 1800 visitors, and we are hoping to make it an even bigger event this year. It's the premier multi-club event of the calendar, very relaxed and informal with no amplification or commentary in a stunning setting; Hopetoun House, one of the UK's grandest stately homes. Sadly it does not belong to me! The web site is: ‪http://www.hopetoun.co.uk/ We would like to have as many Fiats as possible there this year. The event is very club focussed and we are more than happy for clubs to have stands and to canvass for more members of those attending. The event thrives on the diversity of attendees, from a Vespa to a Club Racer Ducatti, or a Fiat Panda to a Ferrari Enzo. Everyone is welcome and as special as the next. It is run for fun and charity and the organisers make nothing from it. If you need any more information, please get in touch or have a look on our website ‪http://www.italiancarandbikeday.co.uk/ or facebook page ‪http://www.facebook.com/ItalianCarandBikeDay As has been said it is £5 per car to exhibit, including all occupants. Many thanks, Paul A video of last year http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9Zm94sqxNg

Hi Paul, tried to send you a PM but you are over the message limit We have a largely healthy community who do their best to attend and travel fair distances in many cases - sometimes it doesn't work out for the very best of reasons. However it's always good to hear from another enthusiast and just tonight we've had another promise [not that sort ]

1. Edinburgh 2. Baz76 3. Sparkyman 4. johnnymarr 5. jimbob13[?] 6. Rob40 7. F1ANG 8. Hubby 9. Steamer Sparkyman, Jimbob, are you still up for this? I know we've just augmented the coupe-owning ranks in Ed by approx 1,000 % [even if it is a porto ] but hoping it can make it..... They want us on site by 10 a.m. so if we are going to convoy over we could aim to leave MacDonald's carpark at the FRB as usual by 9.45 at the latest [gives the Sassenachs an extra 15 mins kip ] Ok , Baz, you too mate! Um, I heard some Chinese whispers at the last meet that there was an impression Fiat Coupes had a reputation of causing aggro at meets by asking other cars to move around I don't know how accurate this is but I don't want that sort of chat going about so the best thing is to be punctual if at all possible!

Ok guys, myself and Angelo are definites for this weekend Baz; what time will you be at Abington Services? We can convoy up if you like? I'll be setting off to Italy in the coop at midnight so i might not stay until the bitter end but thought i would still make the effort to come up to see you guys and give the old bus a bit of a shakedown before the journey
This is how it should have come out of Torino!

Sorry can't make this because of unforeseen difficulties. Hope you guys have a great day. Have a safe journey to and back from italy Rob Hope what you have heard Simon isn't true or there is some valid reason. Only time I recall was the SICD a good couple of years back where there was three shall we say characters invloved. you had.. 1 ) coupe owners ( great easy going bunch of guys ) 2 ) event organisers ( they failed on the last bit ) 3 ) car club full way greeting faced grannies ( I'm been kind again ) don't know of any other times, but then again I don't make all the meets Oh by the way Steamer is the spit of Samuel Jackson with a hat on apparently !

No need for any rough edges on these occasions, a little tolerance and flexibility goes a long way.

well think i'm in for a sleepless night tonight, highlight of my whole month SIC+BD! besides also gives me an excuse to splash out a little LE skirts and front lips painted and fitted as of last night, 6spd box, new clutch and short shift fitted since the last meet. oh and while i was working yesterday- the legend that is dad + a day off (bored) +a little sunshine = resulted in me having a full HID conversion, my grill fixed, a new coupe engraved tax disk holder and this is the best part...the full side of my air box cut out and meshed (and everybody wonderes where i get it from) . really sorry to here about peoples problems, and i hope everybody makes it. looking forwards to seing you all.

Eeeeeee what a good do Probably the best mix of exotica i've seen in a long while, old and new. Hopetoun seems to get better every year and the weather has always been brilliant, well worth adding a couple of hundred miles to my journey, the scenic route back was a hoot Great to see everyone again and hope to see you all at xmas. Going to hit the sack for a couple of hrs kip then off to Italy for a wee Sofia is
This is how it should have come out of Torino!

This event gets better every year! Loads of great Italian machinery and even a bonus Porsche meet in the car park outside with other exotica mixed among them . Nice to see a decent turnout of Coupé's (I was surprised to be the only Sprinty there too !) As usual it was good to see the old and new faces and hopefully I'll see them all again at the Christmas meet next , good luck with your trip too Rob . I'll get some pics uploaded on here as soon as I can but here's a link to my Facebook album for just now. Hopetoun House 2012 A short video of some Lamborghini's driving away. Baz

Good pic collection Simon. Was a great day out and some fantastic cars on display. Even the weather was great! Keeping the wee ones occupied distracted me from interacting as much as I'd have liked but they seemed to enjoy their day too. Can't believe all those Italian car enthusiasts and not one query about my Coop for sale| Do you guys who saw think it think it is fairly priced??

I love the Cobra (even though it isnt Italian) +1, the Cobra was a cheeky addition which had bags of character, you couldn't get upset with it not being Italian - it also had a great sound which I preferred to the strangulated dry rasps of the Lambos, well-captured by Baz in his vid.

The wee ones were great and your lad was right on the ball especially when he was giving me a hard time for not being able to put up the banner The other guys are probably better placed to comment on your asking price - just because no-one enquired doesn't mean the price is unreasonable, it's probably that the market is a bit slow up in these parts. Heck, I don't see a coupe from one month to the next Would it be unaffordable to keep it another year, if you can keep abreast of the kids/space/bikes issue?

Forgot to add, the conversation that took place immediately before this pic went something like this:- Angelo "I say old bean, it would be absolutely spiffing if I could just sit for a moment in a Ferrari" Old bean " This way, sir........." Cut to Angelo tripping out, well worth capturing Btw, the guy standing up runs my paintshop
