A day to a theme park, but which one? #1347763

I have next week off to spend some time with the daughter and misses and we have decided to go to a theme park on one of the days.

Daugher is 12 as an FYI

What are the options? Thorpe Park is a strong contender, but not really sure what is out there!

How tall is she, that may determine how many rides she can go on in Thorpe park.
If she is fine then I would go there as you will spend more time in the park than the car.

For something completely different can I suggest digger land near Rochester?

If she isn't the extreme thrill ride type, Wicksteed park is quite good for gentler rides and younger kids.

Chessington World of Adventures is better for the younger ones than Thorpe Park and less time queueing

Well the daughter is 12 and abot 1.5 metres tall I would guess so that shouldn't be an issue and she is bit of a speed freak!

If she is a bit of a speed freak then I'd go for Thorpe Park. We took my 10 year step daughter there and she loved it. The fastest rides require a height of 1.4m so your daughter will be fine.

Being that Thorpe Park is nearly on your door step. It will do fine, got a new ride called swarm, saw is pretty scary and stealth will satisfy the speed freak smile and colossus... just hang on to your car keys and pocket change wink

I fifth Thorpe Park. It's kinda better than Alton Towers because the rides are a lot closer together, so less time spent walking between them.

I haven't been for around 4 years, but when I did go I remember thinking "Wow, this place has really changed and is up there with Alton Towers", which I had considered the Daddy up until that point.
