Adpack - yep, it's the same car I was thinking of. The owners name was James Richardson (from Sunderland) who was (and maybe he still is) a forum regular a few years back, I remember when he was selling the car!!

It was/is one of the nicest, well looked after cars on here:
Pic of your car!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's still in pretty good condition, apart from the bonnet. It has a few stone chips and the paint is a bit pitted. The rest of it is mint though.

....:) Well it's a small world in Coupe ownership circles.

I do still visit here occasionally but don't post as regular now as I used to on the old forum, you move on when you change wheels but it's still nice to speak to some of the guys now and then.

Just to bring everyone up to date with this post, I did speak to my Ex's new owner about 3 weeks ago, he traced me through showoffyourcar.com and he had a few questions he needed to ask me. I was aware he needed a new bonnet release cable and more worryingly he suspected the Turbo was playing up but from his description I suspected the turbo was fine, as I read here it turns out to be the old cracked manifold scenario. I hope it's back on the road soon and he enjoys it as much as I did although he seemed to think his problems were very serious when we spoke, I'm glad they have turned out to be not as bad as he thought.

I'm wondering if he's selling the Azev's, he was unsure whether to keep them, might be a bargain for someone coming up.

Thanks to Europa for bringing this to my attention.

Jim.
