Mine are in smile

Lovely day up here, had to finish this before tomorrow's promised Armageddon rolleyes, not helped by Mrs Ed stealing the Bee halfway through to go and have lunch with a friend rolleyes

So thanks Rich, great job, she is now "bee-ming" bright again!

As a postscript to this I went out last night for the first time with the refurbs, and I could actually see!
yipee

The full beams are really yellow in comparison to the dipped HIDs.

Couldn't look worse!!

As you are well aware progress is being made on the dear old Sprinty - the wheels make a HUGE difference, and Theresa has benefited from the flight of the Eagle F1s. The skirts are fine, the lips are to be sprayed this weekend prior to fitting and I did a bit of the interior today. The lights will take me to the stage where I just need a spray on the roof. She will never be mint, but will be cherished and driven regularly; turns heads now - there aren't many Coupes in Kent anyway and a Sprinty is teddy-bear doo-doos!

I will have a bash at swapping them over at the weekend. Can't say I'm looking forward to wrestling with my HIDs, as I am a mechanical numpty rolleyes . If you are still doing these please add me to your list for a pair of Scots Green.....

Hi Rich,

I think someone asked this before, I can't find the post now, but is there a minimum standard for the exchange units?

Mine have lost some of the surface coating, and are a bit yellow, however they also appear to have some 'crazing' in the plastic. It's hard to tell if this is just the surface, or deeper into the plastic.

Is this something you have seen before and can restore?

Many thanks
Stephen

Hi Stephen, the crazing cannot be removed.

I see it in quite afew lights to varying degree's, its not that noticable in most cases, and only shows up in certain light conditions.

If yours are really bad though, then as exchange units they would prob not be suitable.

PM me though as I can do you a set without exchanging for your old ones.
