Thanks Sedicivalvole, I was really chuffed with mine when I did them....

Im sure others will be happy with the service too, with new lights at £200+ each crazy shocked , I think its a helpful service, it really freshens up the front end.

The addition of colour coded inners really helps the front end IMO, although this is personal taste I guess...

I have broken it down into 2 prices -

£60 for a outer lens refurb, this included postage back to you.

£100 for outer lens refurb and colour coded inners, again postage included back to you.

These prices are based on you sending me your old lights once the new ones are received and fitted.

I have afew sets in stock, so i'll spray these to order, and send them too you, once completed.

Opinions on the prices would be much appreciated...

Cheers thumb

Considering the level of work involved, i'd say the prices sound quite reasonable. smile
You'll be getting an order from myself shortly.

Got mine Rich thanks, but haven't had time to inspect them yet - as for price i think compared to new (obviously) or the effort involved it's a bargain!

Edit - now opened and inspected and all i can say is, what a brillaint job!! Can't wait to get these on my Plus and be able to actually see where i'm going this winter laugh

Cheers Rich, highly recommended cool

Just to keep all updated...its unlikey i'll be continuing this service into the future due to a likely change of job, i'll simply not have time....

...assuming I work a months notice etc etc, i'll prob only be able to offer this service for another few weeks...

cool

ps - here's a pic of steves lights, one on the right was 85% done, the left untouched....

As a postscript to this I went out last night for the first time with the refurbs, and I could actually see!

The full beams are really yellow in comparison to the dipped HIDs.

Couldn't look worse!!

As you are well aware progress is being made on the dear old Sprinty - the wheels make a HUGE difference, and Theresa has benefited from the flight of the Eagle F1s. The skirts are fine, the lips are to be sprayed this weekend prior to fitting and I did a bit of the interior today. The lights will take me to the stage where I just need a spray on the roof. She will never be mint, but will be cherished and driven regularly; turns heads now - there aren't many Coupes in Kent anyway and a Sprinty is teddy-bear doo-doos!

Hi Rich,

I think someone asked this before, I can't find the post now, but is there a minimum standard for the exchange units?

Mine have lost some of the surface coating, and are a bit yellow, however they also appear to have some 'crazing' in the plastic. It's hard to tell if this is just the surface, or deeper into the plastic.

Is this something you have seen before and can restore?

Many thanks
Stephen

Hi Stephen, the crazing cannot be removed.

I see it in quite afew lights to varying degree's, its not that noticable in most cases, and only shows up in certain light conditions.

If yours are really bad though, then as exchange units they would prob not be suitable.

PM me though as I can do you a set without exchanging for your old ones.

Just the best you have Tim, as long as the water beads off the lens...apply a coat once a month and it will help stop contaminents building on the surface....

Rich, this section is not the right one for putting up posts showing sets you have for sale.

Please use the market place in future for such posts.

If others members want a set then please post in Parts Wanted.

As these are refurbished do they have a new uv-proof covering or didn't the headlights ever come with it?

I don't think they did motocoupe, the headlights have a lacquer on them, this is what discolors and goes cloudy over time.

I remove this. Regular cleaning, and monthly waxing will keep them clean laugh

Just wanted to say thanks for a great service from RICHB.

I got a pair of colour coded Sprint blue lamps. They colour match the car perfectly, thought to be fair this doesn't show on this (Nexus4) photo
