It's a shame to see such a nice coupe broken for spares but this is what happened with JohnS big power coupe, there are unfortunately very few people willing to spent £10K on a 15 year old car.

Maybe if you listed all the tuning parts in the advert so people can see what they are getting for the asking price might help in either selling the car or worst case a list of parts if you have to break it.

I know Jimbo, it's a real shame and I would hate to do it.

The thing is just, people don't realize how much it costs to build a car like this, and at this price, it's still a bargain.

The time of year probably doesn't help either.

I appreciate the costs involved but I believe your original advert could be made much better by listing what's been done and how much it all cost, that way they will see what a bargain they are getting.

May I suggest putting it back to standard.

A coupe as clean as that would fetch upto 4k if clean.

And you have well over 8k of bits to sell on there own.
If I ever considered selling mine that's what I would do.

Put it back to standard and get cloud9 all for it in my opinion.

It is showing allready that coupes with fantastic tuning pedigree still wont turn a profit.

Its a real shame. As the work involved is fantastic to achieve the horse power.

Again it shows that high powered coupes dont sell to even the most savvy coupe owners.

Against my previous comments i do actually have a wish to buy one of the high powered coupes on here.

The coupe are low in price at the moment but things will change and good coupes will be hard to buy.

The right buyer will come Pero you just have to wait that's all.

If yours or techinics coupe was around when I did my LE I would of snapped both your hands off.

Quite, but it depends how long the vendor can afford to wait.

I'd love to be able to buy your (or technics) forged coupe. I'm currently working on the 'man maths' trying to see how it could work!

Once you've experienced the power, you find a way to do it. When you realize you're in(and above) supercar territory, £10k is very little. Like I said in the write up I did when I drove the F430, 997 Turbo and Gallardo, I was very disappointed! The cars just felt big and heavy and slow, apart from the 997. That's when you realize how powerful the Coupe really is.

it seems the only way to slvage "some" of your money back is by putting it back to standard.

change the engien for a good healthy 2L standard 20vt

then sell all your goodies.

that way, you may make 5/6k+ depending on what you have ect.

im sure if you advertise that 6262 turbo some Jap ownerwill buy it!!

just a shame to see another insane 20vt with 550bhp+ go...
frown

Hi

If you are willing to sell the engine for £4k does that mean that you are valuing the rest of the car at £6k if the asking price is £10k?

I'm interested in the whole car but the car must only be worth £1.5k max without an engine plus the engine at £4k making £5.5k a reasonable offer or am I missing something...

Cheers Rich

Ok,

I apologise maybe I didn't fully think my last post out fully and forgot all the other parts.

That does still value the shell at £6k though...

Rich

No it doesn't. It values the shell and all the bits that Biggenz listed in his last post, including, probably loads more, at £6k.

The labour alone probably adds up to 6k!

As it happens, I'm trying to sell a few bits to fund this car...might be a few months down the line though!

Indeed it is.

What else will give you so much terror for 10k?.

You are missing something Rich... Probably the most profound and powerful road going coupe at 5.5k is laughable.

If i get the 10k before the year is out, this will be mind <3

I'm not missing anything, I fully understand what time and effort has gone into this car and I wasnt offering £5.5k for it as u am not in the Market for another car. I was just stating how it looks to someone who doesn't understand what's involved I'm making that kind of power.

I was just stating the fact that what's left after the engine has been removed is being valued at £6k.

I agree that from a purely performance point of view it's a good price but coupes are worth nothing right now so it's going to be next to impossible to shift unless it was less which I don't think the seller should do at all.

I'm sure when the Market picks up again it would sell for sensible money.

Rich

They are still worth some money to people and if I had £10k to spend on a car I wouldn't think twice about buying this one.

Great car buddy and the best colour too!

i know i'm adding to the issue but all these comments are fouling up Biggenz's ad - why isn't there a separate discussion thread for this? The car, pics and components should be easily available to any new reader rather than wade through pages of comment - IMO
