Hey all,

This is my very 1st post! 1st of mant I should imagine just joined today.

Recently on an absolute whim purchased my first coop. (1997 20v VIS Portofino Blue) didnt pay a great deal but have absolutely fell in love. I'm in S.wales and saw this thread the other day would love the chance for some experienced eyes to have a butchers as to whether shes a keeper. This meet seems like a great opportunity to get invloved and as I'm in Pontypool anyway. Puuurrrfecto. Any updates on where and what time you guys are meeting would be great Cheers

21st April 2013

Nice one guys! Nice list coming along here cool !

Right then.My plan/suggestion after checking routeplanner is that,as mentioned above, we meet at Magor Services on the WESTBOUND side at 10/10:15am.Due to the fact it seems the majority are closer to there..
Perhaps then head off after the introductions etc at about 11am heading for the Lamb flag pub where we can meet with others who are closer to there than Magor for a bit of lunch and to talk cars etc etc...

Then perhaps head off to the Black Mountain Pass for those who are interested.Starting at Llandovery/Llangadog and heading South to Swansea and pick up the M4.Find a services and say goodbye etc then head home?
Sound good? I'll update with a few maps in a sec...

Jon

Magor Services to the Lamb Flag Pub wave driving

26.1 miles

Lamb Flag to LLandovery wave beer driving

39.2 miles

Llandovery to Pontardawe (Black Mountain Pass) driving bye

Jon can you check the link for the Black Mountain Pass, it looks like it's doubled up with the Magor Services to Lamb Flag pub link.

For me I'll meet you guys at the Lamb pub between 11.45-12.00 as I have a few chores to do first thing in the morning.

Hi Roy, if you're going to this we could convoy up together? Seeing as you're about a mile away it'd be rude not to. laugh Two quick red Coops together sounds fun.

If I make it I will meet you guys at Magor services, although I think I'm getting cold feet now. I've totted up the mileage to and from and the meet/drive distance and I'm getting 317 miles total. That's about £80 in fuel!! I might have to sort something out a bit more local to me sometime.

I know, I know. If it's a nice sunny warm weekend and I've had the coupe out on the Saturday, then I may come. If it's wet and 'orible, then probably not.

All - I'm out of this one I'm disappointed to say, for the same family reasons as I've pulled out of the BIAMF show, and the Horsham event before that frown

Have a great drive all!

Um, I don't suppose anyone has a small pot of Portofino blue paint they could bring along on Sunday. Found a nice long scratch on my drivers door.....

Happy to pay someone to do it if interested. Hands not as steady as they used to be frown
