Anyone had / owned one?
Wife wants one and looked at a 1.6 eco and a 165 diseasal sport today, one in black the other inmet blue ( phones messing up and cant space in met, wtf?). Both very nice.

Can you tune them and keep mpg / longevity of engine? Thats both of them - opinions?

Neither of the ones you mention but I have an 08 1.9/150 multijet and have done nearly forty thousand miles in the last fifteen months.

It's been utterly reliable - the only things other than service items have been a sticking rear caliper pin and a blocked exhaust recirc valve. Better than 50mpg throughout that time.

The 165 is the two litre version and it comes with the diesel particulate filter. If you're planning to use it in town, don't - you *must* do regular high-speed runs to clean the filter and the net is full of tales of woe of people killing EPFs (on any diesel) in town.

Cheers Barnacle, wife does a mixed run to work - dual carriageway, town and a nice blast over a big pennine style hill so hopefully that wouldn'nt be an issue plus I can always take it for a thrash once a week!
