i tried to see if elephant would insure me again and got refused , even as my girlfriend as the main driver and me as named and still no chance anyone got any idea who takes on banned drivers , once the ban is up obviously

the offence was a class 2 dangerous driving or something to that afftect, been a long time since i got charged with it

Insurance companies look at any convictions in the last 5 years normally - how long ago was it? And what car are you trying to get insured on?

thanks vickster, im trying to insure myself back on my 20v turbo which i got when i was 21 didnt take too long to get banned (2 years) thats up in august so its time i started sorting out the paperwork side of things and insurance , im only 23 but thinkin as puttin my girlfriend as main driver and me as named as she is 29 and clean license etc as im always working now so car would not be used much but i can never part with it ive always loved em !

Unfortunately you have to declare the conviction for 5 years, so another 3 to go I guess Try the coop specialist insurers first and see what they suggest

thanks alot ive had no motivation to go searching really as i knew it was gonna be a nightmare and im gonna get some scary quotes , but my fault.... do the crime pay the time .....
