Gearbox/diff aside, great to see it performing so well. Awesome performance, and the first UK car to use E85 in anger

Great write up on le Mans, nice to see a coop perform well on e85 on track.
Probably the way to go with the coop on track to lower the temps...

Joe's coupe really did put the pace down,watching from the tribune the coupe made space from alot of expensive machines in an outright drag on the pit straight.

I was standing with a ferrari owner and as usual giving him an earfull about coupes. As joe entered the pit straight i told him that none of the cars will pass him.

At the end of the straight the guy just laughed and said thats fast!

I really cannot believe how quickly the days have flown past either Joe.

It was an excellent trip, great company and a fantastic circuit. A real pleasure to drive. I would encourage those who think its boring having played it on the Playstation to reserve judgement until you drive it in real life.

I'll spare you the many pictures of the hotel car park. Needless to say the 4 day old F12 was the highlight. So just one pic



The next morning, after just a 'few' beers the night before we set to work.



It was a great day on the track. The other drivers were all courteous with no issues. The weather was perfect if not on the warm side! The Coupes put some fast laps out on the track, with some extreme driving by Mr CC. Some good on track battles were fought out as well. Though pulling to the side with the windows down to watch and listen to the F12 pass was a real pleasure! Having got into the rhythm I was partaking of some very late braking which helped significantly against some of the other combatants out their. My new discs and Pagid Yellows stood up to the task all day with no fade.

I did however pick three casualties, firstly the Porsche Carrera 4S who while quicker on the straights lost out with his poor driving and bad lines round those bends (a first for a Coupe to win on the bends!) My ATE Super Blue which at 17:57, 3 minutes before the end of the day boiled. Finally my spare Brembo's which are no longer Red. Now a deep Burgundy..

Racing done, time for a quick pit stop at our local support squad and a photo opportunity.


Thank you to Magooagain for the help on planning a good route back with some stunning scenery. Vey much appreciated! Saved on the tolls and saw some beautiful countryside



On the whole a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. I cannot recommend it enough. I'd be very happy to go back next year. A special thank you to the rolling pit crew Reuben and Laura. A big help on getting the gear over to France. Thanks for the company guys it was a great little expedition.

What a fantastic weekend, and a great track - for me this is what the club is all about; meeting the people, driving the cars & drinking the sherry.

I almost didn't make it as 2 days before departure my Red LE started making nasty noises from the diff / box and dumping gearbox oil all over the place.

So I stole the front pads, put them in my Crono - got a new MOT & radiator and went in that instead. I did over 1000 miles in 3 days, with no major problems.

Thanks to everyone involved, massive thanks to Ruebens for carting our track wheels & tools about.

I would love to do a track day at Loheac, next time I am near in a suitable car I will have to check if there is one on, unfortunately I can't do this one as I am working in Leeds on the 20th and competing at Harewood hillclimb on the Sunday.

Are there many track days at Loheac? I was planning to go to the museum a few weeks ago but ran out of time.

Delta seem to host the majority of thier French trackdays there.
