Hi all,

Been lurking on here for a few months.

Fancied a coupe for a while and after being without a car for 10 weeks i finally took the plunge. I was eyeing up a few on auto trader for around £800-£900 pound (even though i already knew about the cambelts etc)!

I read a few posts on here and my mind was set. I was going to buy one off a member on here or not at all!

With that i found Oleg's Portofino Blue advertised in the ebay section. After much umming and arrring i made the 200 mile trip.

After a very thorough test drive and extremely helpful seller i was on my way home.

Nearly 6 weeks without fault (well almost) i am a happy coupe owner. I have owned punto Mk1s since 2007 and the coupe is just so much better!

Only problems so far is the front pads need changing and the windscreen washer hose is blocked!

Planning on a full service this weekend for piece of mind and hopefully many more stress free miles of coupe ownership.

On a not so cheerful note....leaving work today noticed a metallic knocking noise from the rear of the car when going over bumps. Guessing this is a trailing arm bearing. Any other likely causes?

Ye other than a few little niggles here and there.

Lots of little jobs i want to do. This knocking is annoying me though as i need to use the car daily atm!

These cars are still quite new to me. But it sounds like you maybe right with yours

What has yours been up with JBT for then?

Could well be the rear arm. They do wear over the years, but not a huge fix. Good luck and enjoy your Coupe!!

Regarding the knocking sound, I hope this isn't something serious.

What hasn't it needed would be more appropriate.

I haven't replaced the tyres or any lightbulbs.
Everything else has been done

Didnt realise it was you who bought olekks car,really smart looking Porto with plenty of grunt.

Yeah the tyres will be done when I get it back JBT?? That needs to be soon cause the power in that Micra is too much to handle lol
