Hmm. 800 miles/13 hours from Hemel through France, but every bloody road is a toll road. ~900 miles/15 hours going via Belgium and Germany and Switzerland. But no tolls except the QE bridge and the Turin ring road.
Decisions, decisions. I'm allergic to trolls tolls. And what if mr Bangle had a simlar attitude towards designing a Coupe sportscar for FIAT back in the nineties Neil? What would that car had looked like? You probably would never had the experience of doing a full Barnacle on the Spa circuit. Now stop moaning and start saving up for that epic journey across mainland Europe to enjoy the pleasures of motoring and travel to the birhplace of our coop. CU in Turin next year

There are plenty of very good non toll roads to get across France to Italy.

May be up for this as I don't hold out much hope for Spa Italia 2014. No website and no mentions of Spa Italia on the any car forums.

May be up for this as I don't hold out much hope for Spa Italia 2014. No website and no mentions of Spa Italia on the any car forums. I have emailed the probable organisers of SpaItalia. When I get a reply I will let everyone know in a separate thread. Past history says any reply is likely to be slow coming.

We must all do our part for the planet. I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using. I even unplugged my own.

I was thinking about the route over for les Anglais!
I roughly worked out it is 800klm (480 miles) to Lyon from Calais.
Then about another 400 klm (240 miles) to Turin.
I will be using a route to get me to Lyon then an overnight stay there, then onward to Turin next morning.
I just thought some may want to know.
I will check out the toll cost for those coming from the UK.
Looks like the toll would be about £55, thats favouring motorways. Fuel would be approx £136.(Calais - Lyon)
I reckon you could do it alot cheaper, but it would be more like a 9 hour journey instead of 7.
I drive to my house from Calais, which is 432 miles using mainly non toll roads and it takes me about 8 hours 30 mins. With a small toll cost of about £17. So it can be done alot cheaper.

Press Release – 20th anniversary of the Fiat Coupe 30th May – 2nd June 2014
I would like to thank everyone who has contacted us to find out more about this excellent meeting in 2014. Thank you for making it so worthwhile travelling around to meet so many interesting people. People who will help make this a great event for all participants. Everyone we have met, no matter what their involvement, has encouraged us to do all we can to make these 3 days truly memorable. We have received nothing but strong, positive feedback. As the final programme has not yet been decided, (we are still putting the final touches to it) we would like to explain briefly what the participants can expect: Pininfarina – Lingotto Track – Turin town centre – Reggia di Venaria – Mirafiori Track – Mirafiori Motor Village. Naturally, as is the tradition, we will be enjoying 4 star hotel, lunches and delicious dinners, a gala dinner and other special activities that are finalised but won’t be revealed until you are at the meeting. Be prepared for an event which, even with all these goodies, will cost much less than the usual price; we got discounts that only large numbers and international participants make possible. I would like to thank the sponsors who are cooperating with products, gadgets or other contributions will help us make this event so special. We would like other sponsors to recognise the importance of the event and advertise their products – they will be highlighted in all communications and logos. The event will be followed by regional TV and, thanks to Fiat Auto, by RAI Italian Radio and Television Piedmont. There will also be notices and articles in the Turin newspapers. During the final day there will be events organised by Mirafiori Motor Village where more participants will join us for the day. I hope this has given you a taste of what is to come, I will be pleased to answer any individual questions you may have about the meeting. We will continue to give updates here with any official communications about the meeting. Thanks to all. Franco Valente, Giorgio Basso, Luca Gianna
Special thanks to Alesi
