For the second year running Adrian Flux came up trumps again with no rise in cost -> £330. 5k limited mileage with commuting, 0 points and 7 years NCB.
Glynwood were the second closest at £337 under a classic policy, but I stuck with Flux to keep my NCB growing. No one else I rang was near! Same experience for me, Flux beat everybody by >£50

NCB? Therefore not a classic policy?
Seems like a decent quote considering that commuting will bump up the premium as well. Fully comp presumably? Yes a fully comp 'normal' policy with commuting, not classic. I live in a city and it's parked on the road at night.

Adrian Flux quoted the cheapest for me this year..... But then my current insurer (Brentacre) matched it! Worth giving them both a try!

Guys, advice please...
I've been with Adrian Flux for years due to my standard Coup now being "modified". I've made only subtle changes, Eibach's/LE skirts/LE front bumper/SuperSprint exhaust/Forge DV006 dump valve. It's been insured as TPFT on 1000k per year for peanuts of a premium, for about 5 years.
Now that I've just spent 4k on chassis work and a front end re-spray, plus lots of time spend by me (basically saving lots of labour @ £60 per hour) I want to insure it fully comprehensive and set the value myself.
Question is how much for?? What are the current values? I've seen much opinion of a "future classic" and that prices should rise etc but how do you actually quantify this?
My Coup is a good low mileage example, only slightly enhanced but generally unmolested, what it worth? Add 4k to the mix for money just spent ans that what I want to insure it for.

Just renewed again with Adrian Flux (again using Marker Study for cover). I upgraded from TPFT to Fully Comp, 1000m miles a year to 4000m, added commuting, upped the value from £3000 to the max they would go which is £5500. The premium rose from £205 to £293, not bad. I threw in breakdown cover for another £56 so the DD will £40.68 x 10.This is still a Classic policy so there is no 'no claims bonus' being accrued but not an issue as I have this built up on the main car anyway.
I may still hack it out with the 'Agreed Value' team to get the value raised more. Hopefully pictures of an immaculate car, examples of what it would cost to go and buy another one of similar mileage and condition, and proof of recent work done may sway them.
I'm just worried about some idiot stuffing me up the arse like what happened to Cheech and feeling hard done by with the payout after lots of recent spend and hours of work.

As my current insurer Academy (previously Glynwood) haven't even sent me a renewal invitation for my renewal next week despite me chasing, I've just moved to Adrian Flux (using Kinetic for cover). They came in at £260 which was £85 less than Hagerty quoted for what seems to be the same cover. I'm assured I can get my current agreed value of £10k (subject to the usual photo evidence etc). It seems that even with the same classic insurer they are brokers so we can end up with different limits to cover.
