From Traders Insurance to Classic #1461331

I have had Traders insurance for the past 8 years, but now I am down to the 2 cars, one used by me and one by the wife. I was looking at returning to a normal policy, but as I am not allowed to used by Traders No Claims on a standard policy its always more expensive.

I'm 40 this year and currently pay £650 per year for my trade cover, I was paying half that back in the day on my 300zx Twin Turbo

Is there a better way?

Best option is to just phone around. I have a list of insurers to ring next week.

I am interested to know more about trade policies though. Do you have to have a registered business? Expensive if your young? I'm 24.

Craig

Most classic policy's don't require ncb anyway and also don't accrue any either.

No I am not a registered business, just classed as a part time hobby trader with roadrunner.

I was thinking about the classic route, if I remember you are restricted to 10,000 miles a year. I had classic on both my 924 and 944 porsches, plus the 2 300zx's I had so might go down that route at renewal
