Hmph.

The Bravo was pressed into service as a taxi yesterday to bring me back from Joe's with a pile of bits from the coupe. While there it got a small service and new rear brakes and pads, and expressed its delight with this treatment by popping the master cylinder.

An interesting phone call with Green Flag took place.

"Are you broken down?"
"Yes."
"Your service level (top level) says we will bring you home and drop the car off at a garage."
"I'm already at a garage. Can you just bring me home?"
"No sir, not without the car."
"Okay, if I make my own way home, can you return the car when its fixed?"
"No sir."
"Why not?"
"Because it will not be broken then, so it won't need transporting. But we can bring it home with you today, so you can get it to a garage."
"Yes, but it's already at a specialist, who can fix it by tomorrow or Tuesday."
"Well then you'll be able to drive it home."
"But I need to be home tonight."
"No problem sir, we'll get a recovery van out to you and bring you and the car home..."


AAAARGH!

What a nightmare. What was the final outcome?

Borrowed a car from Joe; there will be some dancing around to get the right cars in the right place later this week.

I'm supposed to be going to Scotland on Thursday afternoon...

The joke was - I suspect that had I broken somewhere *other* than at Joe's, I could under the terms of the policy had me taken home and the car taken to a garage of my choice... I don't think there's anything that specifies the two locations have to be close!
