Right, I still have this lying around and since I have a few days off work now I'd might give it a try to install it.
I reckon it will nicely in the ashtray (just tried that) and hopefully I won't have to unscrew parts of the dash that way. I was wondering though where I get the live feed from. The cigarette lighter seems an option, but it looks fairly hard to get to the wires I need. Can I use the live feed from the radio instead (as that would just be a matter of pulling the radio out and put the clips on) or does dat reset the blitz everytime I get the keys out?
The rest looks fairly straight forward, although which pipe from the ebv goes to the in on the solenoid and which to the out? And the 3rd pipe needs to be blocked right? (or remain connected to the ebv).

Does it need a permanent live feed? Otherwise I guess a switched feed from the radio would do, even though I didn't find the ciggarette lighter inaccessible.

RED one to the IN and the BLUE one to the OUT of the solenoid. The third one on top just block it.

Isn't the 3rd hole the "bleed hole" just as on the factory EBV? Why not connect it to the EBV hose, so that the air goes back into the intake? Otherwise you will lose air, same as with an atmos dump valve, or am I completly wrong?

Jim: You are wrong The third hose goes FROM the EBV to the itake so if EBV it is not functional anymore but still connected to the electrical jack , there is no reason to let the hose hang on the ebv. Just block it so it does not suck false air , just like you will block the dump valve hole if you install a new dump to air dump valve.

I was more thinking of moving the top hose from the EBV to the new solenoid. Doesn't the 3rd hole on the Blitz solenoid function like the top hole on the EBV? I thought that's where the air bleeds out, hence why the EBV have a third hose leading back to the intake and no air gets out.

Thanks guys. I've got the coupe booked in at the garage tomorrow anyway, so will ask them for some advice regarding the power feed as well.

i used the live wire that feeds the little recirc fan in the centre console. as said above the item is a low draw unit.... and it will fit in the ashtray. i have mine there now. for me it took alot of work though, and everything had to come out
