Ah well, it made for an interesting drive home

Finally got around to adding up the fuel and mileage for the trip. It's a little vague since I haven't filled up yet, but estimating that it turns out:

Distance: 3069 miles
Fuel used: 387 litres
Average consumption: 36mpg
Cost: £491

The cost is higher than it should be: I got ripped off at a filling station (either the pump didn't start at zero or the wrong price was stuck in - either way I didn't notice I was being charged E120 - eighty litres into a sixty-five litre tank?)

But not too shabby...

Only paid E1.20 in French tolls (due to a wrong turn!), and about E20 in Italy and E8 for the motorway carnet in Austria.

Ignorance is bliss shall be my approach on this.

Ditto x 2, though I am currently doing the credit card breakdown to see how much to pay off. I am ignoring the fuel and tolls as it will hurt too much.
