I have not done the track before, but mine has now taken up smoking a packet a day. So don't want the embarrassment, will still turn up through. Hopefully will be sorted by Spa.

Yep, Thanks all.

There is a hitch.

MB world will not allow AutoItalia more than the usual hour on track.

This means that there will only be one session for coupes which will also be shared with Alfa GTVs which also celebrate their 20th UK anniversary this year.

This means that there will only be room for 10 coupes to take part in the parade, (there will only be 10 GTVs as well) with no space for coupes in the other sessions.

As usual we will be giving priority to club members and we also need to field at least one example of each coupe model and showing as many colours as possible.

So in Coupe registration date order this looks like the list we will have to go with.

16VT PeteP Yellow Aug 1995
16V. Barnacle Black Oct 1995
20VT Submariner Sprint Blue 1997
20V. Cooperman Silver 1998
20VT LE Pondman Vinci Grey 1998
20V VIS Gripped Rosso/Wine Red 1999
20VT Plus MrC Sprint Blue 1999
20V VIS SpeakeyD Electric Blue 2000
20VT Plus Thunderbox Moon Grey 2000
20VT Plus Lappers Electric Blue 2000

Reserves.

20VT Serg1 Yellow or Sprint Blue
20VT LE arm Speed Red
20VT MarkS Sprint Blue

AutoItalia has to register all cars and drivers with Brooklands Museum early next week at the latest.

So they can do so, will each of the people on the above list PM me the following details by Friday PM so I can pass them on to Phil Ward.

Drivers real name, Coupe model and registration number and the month and year registered.

Thanks.

Test Hill

If anyone attending would like to take a run up the Test Hill, please let me know your real names, model coupe and registration number by Friday PM as Brooklands insist on pre-registration this time.
If you are down for the track demo and want to do the Test Hill as well you will still need to register for that separately.

Competition

As previously noted, Phil Ward from AutoItalia Magazine will be looking at our cars and selecting the one which most appeals to him.

The first prize will be one of the excellent 1/18 scale Coupe models made by Otto. The runners up will win some club memorabilia.

This is for everyone who brings a coupe onto our parking area.

Having lost the last 3 weeks right before the event having to work out in the Middle East instead of fixing my Coupe, I won't be able to bring my normal Coupe along. However, if I bring along a 1/18 scale model which particularly appeals to Phil, perhaps I could win a full size one? wink

So basically, people who've put their name down for track time have now been 'overlooked' in favour of people who put their name down for the parade lap? A bit disappointed as there are clearly people who have already been round the track in previous years! Ah well, enjoy!

As previously said, there was no ordinary track time available for coupes, and as explained club members get priority, (they pay towards keeping the forum going) and we needed to get a mix of all model types for the parade.

You can thank MB for being inflexible regarding the time they would allow AutoItalia on their MB World track.

edit I am every bit as frustrated as you Paul. I don't spend my time saying we have too many places, please cut some of them out!

I'll be staying local to Brooklands, but I could lie in wait in a lay by or pub car park somewhere to convoy in... if anyone has any suggestions?
