Currently shortlisting what little 20vts i can find

i saw one on autotrader bit cheap
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201410118129944/usedcars?logcode=visc

was wondering on everyones thoughts, i had the same colour many years ago, might need new cam belt soon? i changed the one in my old one with a specialist in birmingham cost me nearly 700 for the belt and pump and fitting. guessing may need to redo it if went for this one? needs a tidy and a full service

Looks in nice condition to me, with a months warranty, what's considered to be a low mileage Coupe these days and FSH, I think it looks like a good buy cool

You could probably get it for £1300, drive it for a few months while you save up for a cambelt and service.

So, as long as everything else was ok with the car, it looks like you'd get what looks a nice example for the price.

Worth going for a look at in my opinion smile

I agree with T, just look for usual stuff like oil pressure etc etc as per the buyers guide.....if it was the right time for me i'd consider that one for sure.......

My steel grey 20vt will be available very shortly as I've got my eye on another one. Needs a clutch though as it's slipping under boost.

Dazvr6 do you have a pic of the car? i am in stafford atm so not too far.

I did read somewhere that some specialists can do belt without taking the engine out? I remember taking mine to a specialist in birmingham at the time still open now but sure it had to be lifted out there.

Here's a couple of pics for you on the Rota 17" alloys.
It is currently wearing LE coloured 20vt wheels though.

That was probably Motormech that you took the car to and they are still there. Contact details Here.

It is now normal to do the belts without taking the engine out.

16VT and X1/9 1500

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

The one in the Autotrader ad looks good value but needs better tyres - Landsail are just not compatible with any car with reasonable performance (or any car really).

No problem. Mine is due for belts next year but had a full engine rebuild in 2011.
It will be quite a bit less than the sprinty on autotrader! wink
