My alarm went off at 7am, rain was bouncing off the tiles so I went back to sleep and awoke at 12.50pm blush

I wanted to go, honest frown

No he drove right over it! Just about wrote his car off, damage to bumper, floor pan, radiator, exhaust and spare wheel well! It was in an open space too! Felt bed for him the 50 strong crowd weren't making the situation any less embarrassing for him lol.

The person with the red winning car was called Alex irrc
Very interesting story about a very nice condition standard Coupe.
May already be known here.
Nice to see the Coupes.

It was one of those giant stone boulders that were scattered around the grounds as decoration, and no he drove it off, hence all the damage.

As dlongstaff said, the chap with the red coupe is called Alex.

He is not currently on the forum but he has said that he will be joining. Very pleasant chap to talk to.

I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.
I even unplugged my own.

I was there around lunchtime because of the weather but in my Delta. Nice line-up of Coupes though I didn't get to see/speak to anyone. I had my youngest with me so was not around for long. Pondman your Vinci looked superb thumb

Sorry to see this event has now ceased to be. Auto Italia have stopped - seemably as its loss-making..... I understand that but to try to say they've replaced it with 'another' Brooklands event is a bit naughty IMO. They have five 'national' events in 2016 and they are all around London crazy

My understanding is that it is a Brands Hatch event, Festival Italia, that has replaced Summertime Classics.

The extra event is the day before AutoItalia which I believe is going to be held at the nearby Chobham test circuit. They use for a lot of their photoshoots.

I believe that the Stanford Hall venue is no longer available as it was transferred to Help for Heroes,

Still doesn't compensate the Midlands enthusiasts though.

Phil Wards editorial in this months AI states it was just loss-making Pete. Real shame as we loved it. Not just as it was local but it was the only event Mrs Nello would go to for the venue. It'll cost me alot more to take her there now as she'll want the restaurant/hotel! laugh With that and the breakfast club moving to Wales theres only MITCAR around here now I think.....

There's a small one in Stafford some of us, including the X1/9 lads went to last year Neil. Click

If there were enough interest I could fix a club stand.
