Bought one of these click to enlarge along with this sony DAB/CD at Halfords and got £12 knocked off for the bundle smile

The aerial's a bit neater than I thought and is generally recomminded to go on the top left of the screen with an earth under the A pillar trim. This still leaves the black "box" visible so I thought about installing it under the o/s trim.

There's an interesting hole in the A pillar under black tape, filled in with expanded foam
click to enlarge which is unfortunately just too small to house the black box.

Anyway I'm hoping for success with this sort of layout
click to enlarge and that the trim won't bulge over it.

What is the end result like? Does the pillar trim go back on with no lumps and bumps? And does the screen aerial give good reception? Would be great to see what the on-screen aerial looks like in the car.

From my other thread laugh

I didn't put the aerial there in the end, it went under the roof lining in front of the passenger sun-visor. The parallel wires of the aerial contained in clear plastic are located just on the edge of the dark sun-shading at the top of the screen.

I'm really happy with the position - the box and earth are both concealed and the reception is good on several wavebands smile

I'll try and get a shot of it tomorrow when it stops bloody raining rolleyes
