I'll watch, but I may nod off...

Rumours that Rob "Felipe Baby" Smedley is off to Haas, amongst other gossip...

One of the worst circuits on the calendar. Such a shame as the setting and the fact it's a twilight/night race, make for a spectacular sight.

Yes I'd read Smedley was off to Haas, but as Big Joe hasn't mentioned it yet.......

Switched off before the weigh in...
What was Merc's strategy for Hamilton before the final pit stops? When did anyone stay out for so long after a main rival pits for fresh rubber? I don't think Hamilton would have won, but at least it would have been close... Wait, I see what they were doing! Avoiding any potential for a scrap.

And did I miss something or was Alonso tagged by a Sauber, which threw him into the start-line collision with Maldonado? The penalty seemed very harsh.

Not sure Alonso would agree with Coulthard's "Great weekend for McLaren" comment. "Not as utterly dreadful for Button as it could have been" might have been more accurate.

Verstsppen gains an advantage after driving off the track, and gets a 5 second penalty, when he is already 7 secs in front of Button? Some penalty.

I was flicking between the GP and the Chelsea v spurs game.

I can't recall which of the 2 sent me to sleep on the sofa, but it could have been either....

And I thought that had banned all driver coaching etc between driver and the engineer? The last few races has seen all kinds of chatter about who was on what tyres, how old they were etc.

Next year it should only be one way,the driver decades when to stop and for what tyres. The only command from the pits should be "Stop the car, it's about to explode".

Mercedes team orders since Hamilton won the title have denied us a close race at the end. And they wonder why people stopped watching (and part from having to suckle on the cancerous teat of sky that is)

Did you use your phone to post Derek?.

That happens to Nismo quite often when he posts from his.

Clever move from Ferrari in letting the Hass team use all thier testing facility's for next years season. Plenty of info shared there then.

Info shared and - depending on who you listen to - a bit of rule-bending with regard to the definition of a team and how much wind-tunnel time they can use...
