Understand Dave, the super-charge option to >300bhp for £6k appealed to me. Wolf in sheep's clothing.

That's a bummer. Good luck with FCA. I complained to them about the utter fiasco that was the collection of my Abarth 595 and, after initially agreeing to investigate, nothing and no amount of emails get a response. I'm busy with other things right now but I won't let it drop.

Having battled Arnold Clark and MBUK over my first SL, I know what a disappointment it is to get a car then be battling the dealer. There should be a better way.

The trouble with that, as I discovered with the 595, is that people look in their rear-view mirror and just see "sheep" so they just sit there. I'm sure there's some of that with the SL where it gets mistaken for an SLK (and I'm sure some people just think *anker wink )

What I really liked about the Fiat Coupe is that it had road presence - people would jump out of the way (as a colleague of mine observed from his Passat as he tried to follow me).

I noted this years ago - I cross Scotland much more quickly in the coupe than in the more powerful Cupra, and I always suspected it was simply its appearance in a rear-view mirror... people generally let it past, rather than being obstructive to another hot hatch.
