Great advert coverage on Channel 4. Bockers should be happy.

Conveniently, the adverts were all two clicks on the skip button...

At least there was some action happening this time. Better than the end of last year, anyway - though Alonso was a lucky boy. Good engineering on the tubs!

I think for future highlights races, we'll watch them 15 minutes after they air, so we can jump through the ad breaks.

What I was thinking too Jim.

Good race I thought and I see they have abandoned the new qualifying scheme and are reverting to the previous one from the next race.

That's exactly what I did, though it was longer than fifteen minutes. I got onto real time just after the race finished, before they did the post-match interviews.

I imagine it's more like half an hour over the whole show.

Fernando Alonso may have had the most telegenic accident in F1 history; the super-slo-mo was quite jaw-dropping - like the cgi effects from a blockbuster film. He is one lucky fellow.

C4 not too different to BBC but to be honest what did we expect? Is it not the same production company, part owned by DC & Jake Humphrey, that is still doing the whole thing?

C4 will be my only way of viewing F1 as I will never again provide any funds to SKY evil

I thought the C4 coverage was quite good and was happy not to have seen the "ejit" spouting off for a change. Alonso must be hurting after being left sitting in a bathtub when he stopped rolling but incredibly lucky. Tyre strategy is looking like it will play a much bigger part than last year and shows even a team like Ferrari can get it wrong smile
Looking forward to Bahrain.

Verstappen is becoming a whinging cloud9. If he's better than Sainz, he should prove it by overtaking him. I sensed a touch of irritation when his engineer responded. Perhaps if he followed team orders....

On the whole I was happy with C4 coverage. I hope the Coulthard/Webber team works! No Eddie Jordan was an improvement.
