that's right (thanks Dianne), I am sensitive...

But I can let it all go over me, knowing I am 52 days away from eating that amazing tiffin again...

I haven't forgotten, I will bring tiffin, keeping it should be no problem, the way the weather is going we won't have to worry about it being too warm, more like, did we forget to pack snow shoes.

another thing-

'call signs'. once we get the radio's sorted out, we'll all need 'handles' as they say in CB land.

I'll go first, mimicking the colour of the car, I shall forthwith be known as 'Red 1" which is a bit Star Wars too...

but, feel free to have anything you like, like 'Maverick' or 'Ghostrider' or something like that....

Oh guys, I am so upset, someone's keyed my car in the garage where it was having its MOT. It will be repaired but probably not before trip, God, can't tell your u how I feel, I have loved her from new, for 16 years and she was pristine. Got to get the ferry tomorrow over to Mainland to confirm damage. Police have big handprint from car, but said initially they wouldn't process it as damage could be under £1000 but mechanic threw a wobbly in the police station so think they are going to do it.
I so wanted her to be in tip top condition for the trip, I know I shouldn't cry but I am

WHY??????? wouldn't anyone do that???????

Good heavens Dianne! That's incredible! Is that on mainland (Orkney)??

I genuinely thought there was no element like that anywhere up there- that REALLY surprises me.

I'm very sorry to hear that... I can't believe it...

Is there not a reputable body shop in Kirkwall you can draw upon? I can make enquiries myself actually...

Matt our guy, says there is a body shop he trusts who are really good, they are busy and she can't be booked in for 6 weeks. Yes, Mainland Orkney, in the garage which also has the taxi office in it, manned all the time, unbelievable

Dianne that is devastating news. Truly makes my blood boil. Incomprehensible why pathetic, lowlife rejects do such things. They aren't fit to draw breath.

Not sure yet what damage, couple of long scratches and maybe some other smaller ones. Got to go across to Mainland Orkney tomorrow to have a look and make sure everything gets repaired. Really wanted her looking sharp for June but now really disappointed. Over initial shock at least.

The Binatone 775 Jim posted are PMR446. As are the 950 and 1100 models. Should all work with each other nicely on the same channel.
