I'm just going to throw this one out there and see what feedback there is

I've no dates, there's nothing organised but I miss this circuit and Rocket Ronnie was built to do this in 2013 but sadly the Spa Italia was cancelled that year so I went to LeMans instead.

Feedback, interest?

2018 is ages away for people to plan. theres a weekend in August (think its august) which is going semi cheap tho

I've have new diffusers to build and fit along with a new front nose setup so I'm not sure I'll have time to get all that done this year along with the work load already booked in, if I take it as it is give me issues at speed but if something kicked off for this year I could always take my LE as it's not just track time, it's the social aspect of it for me as well.

whats the cost of either spa or le man I'm trying to find the link i found with spa going for a good price this year.

or if you are set for it being in 2018 maybe go for running a possible corporate day with the clubs will be cheaper for all and a better mix on track

LeMans works out at £250.00 for Bugatti, or £400.00 if you book the Maison circuit as well making it a two day event, last time I looked at a day at Spa it was around £380.00

Tbh the two circuits are chalk and cheese, yes LeMans is fun as you've no doubt seen in some of the videos, Spa however is simply awesome

I'm deffo up for a mix. More for the social event as I know a few coupers have alternative cars for track.

Lemans is in the first week in August and quite epic in its own right so for 2018 spa would be better.

Lemans is great as your on track with a bunch of crazies millionaires but they are a giggle and the coupe mixes up well.

Spa as a large social event would be great. An open pit at spa would be fab with fccuk folks who experienced spa Italia and others who missed out would be great.

I can certainly start talking with the European groups to see what prices they receive for Spa, we being side of the channel always end up paying a UK company their commission so it might save us a few quid if it's organised through the French forum for example, Joe Maquire might be able to set this up.

In other words, I'm in!

If we look at companies like Javlin for example they do a bulk buy deal where every £2000 bulk buy deal bought then they only charge you £1800 so a saving of £200 obviously.

Say between the clubs we book 11 spaces this will bring the price down to £327 roughly which will cover the fuel to get to Spa compared to £400 each normally.

I guess with more research and Emails we maybe able to get the price down more


As for a mixed track day as people have already said a lot of people on here have moved on from the fold and its better having a mixed track

I'm in.

I'll be up for Spa if i still have the coupe , i may just hold on to it for Spa as its an awesome weekend with great company so put me down on the list please .

Yes for sure people have moved on from the fold, but like Hovedan he'll be up for it in whatever he's running so it doesn't need to be 100% Coupe, I doubt that would work if we were looking to hire the circuit for the day as there wouldn't be enough numbers, Spa Italia days are over so it's all about the participation in whatever you're enjoying now.

Hi Adam,

We’d like to help but I think you’re way too early with that at the moment, the earliest we have had dates confirmed for Spa is late October but it’s usually November when things get firmed up. Also historically our Spa dates have been much earlier in the year in March or April and although we have requested other dates they are very hard to come by. If you are set on August then I think you may find it especially difficult as the GP tends to take place at the end of that month so the circuit will close 10 days in advance to prepare going by previous calendars so dates will be very limited in that month I expect. So I’d never rule anything out but you’ve got a good 7 months to go before any trackday organiser is going to know what they will be getting from Spa for 2018.

Quick update with this, I've been chatting with Delta racing to see if they'd be interested in joining us, they are an experienced company/organisation for track day weekends, I've enjoyed joining them at LeMans for the past few years so if anyone can get this organised they can

As a side topic, does anyone have any cost per mile stats for race tracks around the world because this must be well up there.

Putting this into context, Open Pit lane for two days at Nurburgring (with returning discount) through Darrens Ringweekends is £900, so ~£400 for Spa sounds about right.

If we can arrange a "group buy" we may get some discount on this, which we can give to Joe as he'll need the extra money as somewhere along the way he'll be leaving one of his cars there

As you say, its £299 if booked prior to 1st Jan, so do we just go with that or is there any other process we should go through, have you been speaking to Chris or his colleagues?

As an aside, as I'm in the area that weekend, I think I will just book the two days and hope my fellow Coupe friends show up to show me how its done

Hiya knight, you all ok?

I've had the highly modified E46 M3 which was a blast until the SMG pump failed. Now I'm in a Focus St, c310 bhp which with 384lb/ft is enough for me now

I’ve booked the 1st and 2nd October 2018 direct with Circuit Days at £299 each day!

My mate with two bicycles welded together (some people call them Caterhams) is also booked.

It works out well for me as the otherside of that weekend is DN20 at Nurburgring which I'm booked on, so I'm just extended my time in Germany/Begium for a couple of extra days and realistically, £600 for two days at Spa seemed a bargain to me!
