My dad Ran away to the lakes as London became too much. He was a very senior Uniformed officer. His place was the street, walking the beat.
My Mum was CID admin/Special Constable. she was from the local area and people talked to her. She did reports of the worst things imaginable and has PTSD from report writing! When she snapped she was move, promoted to a supervisor with some tech department.
Imagen what it was like for the people how picked up the pieces of people hit by a train or of a 11 year old gang raped.

We, the Civiys, know nothing of what the few do for us. Be them our armed forces or First Line Respondents.

Show them some respect.

In all honesty here I'm struggling to make heads or tails of this post. What the hell is BIB or WIB? Looked this up, but still puzzled as to what's going on.

I'm guessing 'Boys in Blue'.

I don't use Twitter, or fully understand what the purpose of hash-tagging is, but I have respect for most of our services, armed or otherwise.

It kind of goes without saying though.

I generally have a huge amount of respect for the job our emergency services do. That said, I've had some very mixed experiences of the BIB (generally much better experiences with WIB if we need to make a distinction).

I've a big respect for the police & what they stand for & all that they do, but initially the OP appeared a bit of a puzzle, to me anyway! Perhaps I'm of the spell it out brigade...

I have just retired from the Leicestershire force and in all those years I have to say that there has never been a bigger idiot heading up the HMIC as him. He hasn't got a clue..

The OP is a reference to the current Chief Inspector of Constabularies Sir Tom Windsor. He recently said in a speech the uniformed officers (mainly response) don't have a stressful job (they dont take anything home with them) once again evidencing his complete lack of knowledge of the service he is supposed to monitor and inspect
