I was bored today and I got to
thinking...I wonder what is the highest mileage a coupe has ever done? Anybody heard of any reaching over 200k?

I'm still not the highest (although I'm catching up quickly) - Rog has a customer with over 260k and the engine has never been apart. Its had a couple of turbos and a couple of clutches, but that's about it for major stuff. It's completely standard though, so rather less stressed than mine.

Any people who doubt the build quality and integrity of these engines needs to read about that...as you say it's a standard car so it's not too stressed and I guess it has been well maintained too... but your car is very different! Still running strong despite your modifications but I suppose it's had a lot of love and care from you how many times a year do you change your oil? Must be at least two

I think he changes the whole engine about twice a year, the oil somewhat more regularly...

Oil is changed every nine or ten thousand, so probably three times a year. However, it also uses about five litres between oil changes, so it gets through around 30 litres a year

Had a N/a coupe done 280,000 2 weeks ago.Owned from new as well.
I replaced the cambelt for the 6th time in its life apparently,nice folder full of receipts.Original brake lines,radiator and battery i was told.

280,000 n/a is quite a lot. Whenever I've managed to find a coupe at the breakers they always seem to be n/a but never over 100k for some reason...even the ones with no body damage...but the turbo ones are quite often around 130-150k...strange

not sure if he is a member,but he also said that it has never used a drop of oil in between servicing.

The turbos are alot less unforgiving than the N/a coupes.
Alot higher maintenance.
And by the time they get to 100-130k there usually hovering around the 1k mark.This 1k mark is also usually the people who have spent all there money on buying it as well.
So most don't spend the money if a blower goes or it fails the mot..

The stupid thing is people expect to pay £1k for a coupe and just drive without expense!...they get a big surprise I've spent as much money on maintenance as I have tuning but I can say my 20vt has never disappointed me or let me down in the past 3yrs. I've only recently started oil changes every 6k miles if Im being honest though and since my real upgrades I've started buying better quality oil too.

This month I've spent about £1100 people tell me it's a waste but what do they know

My 20V NA is on 139,700 and is going strong (touch wood). Regular servicing has gone a long way.

Currently on its 3rd cambelt (changed twice in its life) and only does 5k a year so a yearly service by PowerItalia suffices

thought mine was high at 116k.

My Plus is on about 70,000 now, but the engine is from my Sprinty and has now done about 250,000, albeit with three rebuilds on the way - still the same block and crank though. To be fair, the three rebuilds were provoked by abuse, so not really fair to condemn the car because of the failures. I had a bent rod due to running too much boost, a melted piston because of running too much boost and a collection of bent valves because of a failed aux belt taking out the cambelt.

Despite the mileage and the power levels, it still averaged 28mpg when I used it for a week's commuting last week.

MCMike is at 320k+ if I remember correctly?

Mike's red LE is about 240K now I think, although probably 320+ spread amongst all his Coupes

Thats a bloody good effort and a lot of happy miles I'm sure. I wonder if Fiat will give a free new million mile car for the first one to crack it.

My blue coupe has 292,000 miles on it and I have owned it from new. It did throw a ring on the middle pot at 28,000 so I took the time to have the engine blueprinted.
I have put about 120,000 miles on the red coupe my wife had before the bottom end went at just over 200,000.
I have also since put another 50,000 on my plus since I bought it off kenny a year and a bit ago.
We did have a 16vt but i am not sure what miles we put on that, about 50,000 i would imagine.

I don't think it will ever happen - the majority of Coupes are no longer daily drivers

This is a fair point. I doubt anyone is using there's for uber right now........
I ll have a crack but its been sat for so long I don't think I have enough years left in me even if I average 10k a year.....
Would love to see a well patina'd high miler coupe

Mine's a daily driver. Only on a lowly 146k though.
