Gunzi: yes I would like to take it to RR (to map it to the "limit" and get last HP) and 1/4 track to see if there is some improvement..first I have to learn to use the car properly again - to be so fast as it can be, because after years with Stilo 1.8 and Giulietta 1.4 170 some "hard" driving habits disapeard... Countrycruising: I love 16v NA and even 8V NA (I had 8V in Tipo, then converted to 16V, because it were cheap bhp) and If you can work with this engine, you can be very fast on the road and it could be even reliable in daily use (as it was used even withmodifications..). I have to admitt, that at the beginning of engine rebuild I was inspired by John Lee´s Tipo + his webpage (thankfully it runs again after some pause ) and then I was quite frightened with problems he faced...

M_M : thank you for your words! I´ve never thing about selling the coupe.. we will last together - forever... even if its now barely used (max. 1000km/year) and keep it in even such service cost much effort/money... the same case is my Tipo Sedici... which is my first car ever and I still have it.. I got if from my father when he "switched" to 156 in the time I get driving licence

I enjoyed reading your thread, I really like some of the photos., your country has great buildings to shoot against. I was very impressed by the engine bay, but how does it look today? I thought I was biased as to which engine a coupe had, turns out I just really like the 20vt wheels.

And there was me thinking you were going to be adding a turbo to this me going turbo way.... haha never PS.. when I´m thinking about purchasing dead 20VT is only about to make 2.4 VIS atmo conversion with some standart tweaks (head, mild cams, raised compression etc..) for daily use.. 200-220 bhp with loads of linear torque from 2.4 with great sound...

I bought firstly 200CPSI redback, 100mm body diameter with Euro2 homologation, but it was too restrictive for my engine. Then I bought 100CPS 127mm body converter from german company Arlows. Regarding to emmision test.. thanks to camshafts with huge overlap it will never pass it, but can after some tweaks on engine, which cost some power... you can smell the difference with and without it, when the cat heated, but I doubt the emmisions are legal in current setting on stock engine it could pass with 200cpsi, but I did not tried it. https://www.redbackconverters.com/200-cell-round-cats
