Had a Stage 1 remap at FC performance and there seems like a lot more
Boost now with smoother delivery.

The readouts look good with power peaking at 253 bhp but I noticed
The torque curve does not peak until 3400 while the spec says it should be 2500. I had the same result with gtech1. Is this an issue or just the way the measurement is done? At 2500 there is around 80 (minimal)!

Are you using the cars standard boost control valve or have you bypassed in preference for a manual boost valve or controller?

Turbo cars can be either tuned for torque or boost, each has it own merits. The car as standard is tuned for torque, once we bypass the ECU controlled boost valve and go to another method we are tuning for boost. Have a google search and read up on tuning for boost vs torque.

Hi Clanger. I suppose it was tuned for torque before as it was standard except for gtech1 chip and I had the same peak rpm then. Actually most of the curves I see published peak at 3500 while the spec says 2500. Will read up thanks but I expect its the rolling road test vs engine spec different methods of measurement.

I'm going to assume you meant to say 252bhp

The published dyno curve isn't accurate. Peak torque (228lbs/ft) is usually seen at around 3,500rpm. It's the same for power. Similarly, peak power (220hp / 217bhp) is more like 6,300rpm rather than 5,750rpm.

For the record, this makes next to no difference to how the car peforms if I run the claimed dyno curve against my own car's stock dyno results through my calculator:

220hp @ 5,750rpm / 228lbs/ft @ 2,500rpm
0-30mph 2.50
0-40mph 3.36
0-50mph 4.81
