Just wanted to say that I haven't withdrawn, just uncertain as to if I can make it! It may have to wait until the site is open for registration in March.
Unlikely of course that I will be going in any convoy, as I will be driving across France, then over the border to Turin - unless anyone else will be travelling within France.
Paul We will probably be in Provence and will head over to Turin for the event, sadly we will be in either a TT Roadster, or an RS3, unless I go and buy another Coupe... The routes over the Alps to Italy from France are stunning, we've taken several options previously and all great, if open!

If you are in Provence, then I suspect that you will be heading in to Italy, just a little lower down than me! I'm trying to work a sensible route that avoids Lyon, as it's notoriously bad on the roads round there! I manage to scrape into the 'allowed' category with my 'Crit Air' sticker in Lyon, but don't fancy the traffic. I have to get the Coupé out of its winter quarters soon and give it a good run, certainly now the roads are not so wet.

I've yet to get mine out of hibernation. I've driven it a short distance in the barn ... just to turn the wheels and it sitting on a different position on the tyres (all of 10 yards!)  Paul

A route would all depend on if you were looking to get to Turin quickly, or plan to include Turin as part of a longer road trip. The toll roads through France generally offer the quickest and quietest roads, if Lyon is avoided, but it can be a bit pricey, especially if the Mont Blank tunnel is used (€52.30 one way and €65.30 Return). Going via Switzerland, with a Vignette is cheaper @ CHF 40, about £36. But the "fast" roads through Germany can be very busy. When we head south to Italy we generally use Toll roads to get away from the North and then take scenic roads with at least one planned stop. All the passes add a lot of miles, and time but they offer stunning scenery.

Note to all men over 40 on here. If you are offered a PSA test take them up on it.
The disease is eminently curable if found early. I had no symptoms: my GP suggested doing the test on top of my annual check up.

Would have to agree 100% with this - not had a problem but our doctor usually asks for a blood test at least twice a year, which for me always includes the PSA test. I agree with the PSA test mine was 5.5 which is higher than normal. Stopped cycling for two weeks and it dropped to 3.1. Prostrate cancer is very common in older men I have told all my friends to get checked. Also ask your doctor for a poo in the post test for Bowel cancer. Too much time spent lying down perhaps?

The reason I mentioned it was to alert the older members of the need to have checks so it can be caught early and cured, usually by hormone treatment then radiotherapy.
The nasty thing about hormone treatment is these bloody hot flushes!
