Hi guys,

Tomorrow I'm looking at a red LE no. 26 currently on 110,000 miles. Is this car known to any forum members past or present?

Thanks
M

Check the LE registry on here, that should at least give you the previous owner's name and date.

Last record is of "Idak" in 2016. I made a 9 hour round trip to view the car yesterday. It's clearly been cherished in the past by forum members but is now looking quite sad. The car is structurally and mechanically sound but cosmetically needs tidying and has a number of issues which need attention.

Obviously depends on your intentions, budget etc but finding one structurally sound is a good starting point as it's the wire worm that does for these cars. Cosmetics although expensive are doable, there are quite a few being broken at present so most parts are still available.

Admirable effort montydog thumb

Unfortunately the relative quiet on the forum these days results in such lists as the one you were directed to being kept up-to-date and previous owners of this particular coupé may no longer be registered on here.

If it's been well-maintained then 110k is not necessarily a huge mileage considering its age - the engine is basically strong if it hasn't been ragged but there are plenty of other issues that arise!

Have you tried a general question on F/Book?
