Ottomobile, from whom many of us have purchased excellent broomy and sprinty 1/18 models, intend to bring out a red 1/18 model toward the end of this year.

As before the Club intends to make a bulk order to keep costs down. Exact price to members/non-members not yet known, but the sooner we are able to indicate numbers to the company the better.

Will a group buy be proceeding or should we try and order ourselves?

I'm awaiting word from them re possible discount; however the three names on the list who are not UK-based might be better to make their own arrangements as there will be two lots of postage involved if they come to the UK initially.

Another issue is that imports over the value of £135 will probably attract customs duty.

I'll try and have a better answer for you asap.

It's over a week since the above but as yet there is no word back from Ottomobile.

However as said above, for those living outside the UK it would be better to make your own arrangements.

Remarkably enough we received two emails today - watch this space!

The Club's order is now being processed. Yes it must seem like ages, the administration has been rather protracted....

l have recieived my coupe model (OT1100) on Monday ,;nicely box; i did ordered it from their website.
Compered to the yellow and blue,this one screwed to the polystern casing/box with what seems to be some sort of stands.

We have just received some in the UK too and are finalising details for despatch very soon.

Unfortunately a box containing six models was inexplicably interrupted in transit and after a deal of digging around we learned it had been returned to the sender

It 'should' be on its way back to the UK.

I've received one this morning that I'd ordered directly from the website, so they should be on their way soon.
This one's for my office and the other one will be for home

I tried to order directly from the site , but it wouldn't "add to basket " ,so maybe sold out already ?

Sadly I have to announce that Ottomobile cannot send a replacement six models as they have run out. They are submitting a claim to Chronopost, France, and we have requested a refund.

I will work on the basis of first on the list downwards so it is possible one or two names near the end will miss out I'm afraid. However if people haven't paid up by New Year then they will be discounted and the next on the list will be contacted.

As I have already received one from Otto I don't mind if you let mine go to someone else if it helps out?

Apologies for this frustrating saga.

Sod's law dictated that we received a reply just after my post above saying that "logistics department are very busy" and to contact them again on Friday. I'm waiting for a tracking number.....

We now have now, perhaps remarkably, received a tracking number of what is surely the missing package; relevant customs/tax forms have been forwarded to Chronopost who have apparently been waiting for them since 23/12 just after it was re-shipped from Otto.

News is generally good for those of you on the "waiting" list; the mysteriously-reappearing package has found its way to the UK and even to my front door!

However sod's law says that I'm away in Tenerife for a week and DPD have been somewhat economical with the redelivery options they might have provided, but remote processes are waging in the hope I can get my hot little hands on 'em on my return.
