Phil, Alan and Jamjam in his Mito are coming to the show.

Anyone else interested ?

It would be great to get a few more of us together, to share support.

Even if your coupe is off the Road, please pop along. You probably have lots of experience that the rest of us can benefit from.

Phil and I may meet up on Teesside and drive down together.
Will you do this Jamjam?

Let's keep in touch Alan and we can meet you outside the Hall and all drive in together

Hello Everybody

Although the show opens at 9.00, I was thinking of getting there for 10.00am.

How does that suit others ?

If ok, meet at Excelby Services on the A19 at 9.15.

Drive down to Newby and meet Gman on the outside 9.45-10.00

Paul

Hi Paul - I'll not be attending in the coupe as I may have a timing issue so want to minimise driving the car until it's looked at. However I've just booked my ticket for the Alfa so will still meet you at the entrance as planned thumb

Is anyone going to Newby Hall today? We're on our way now. From Paul's favourite grandson Henry.

Well, what a mixture of ups and downs !

We pulled onto the A19 this morning, hoping to see Jamjam on our way to the meeting point. 10 points to him, he was directly behind us ! His timing was brilliant ! At the services, I met James for the first time, along with his mum, dad and brother. They all seem Fiat or Alfa daft, so we've got the right person.

James' Black Mito is really nice. Plenty of little bits for him to attend to over the summer.

The weather has been dreadfully wet this week and the forecast was awful for today, 85% rain and likelihood of thunderstorms.
The driveway into Newby Hall is long and winding. Not a car or person in sight. Has it been cancelled ??

Nope, half a dozen drowned rat Alfa Club guys guided us.

Not a big turn out, but about a dozen Fiat's, 25 Alfas, 2 Lancia. 4 maserati and eventually one Ferrari and one Lamborghini .

Being so small, with plenty of Yorkshire weather. meant that people were friendly .

Phil and I were the only Coupes this year, which was disappointing. I was hoping to meet up with two other owners and encourage them to join the club.

Phils pal in the Fiat 850 was to one side of us, and a multipla was on the other. The 850 won first prize and the multipla third.
How the judges missed me in the middle, I'll never know.

The rain settled st lunchtime for a short while.

All in all, it was very enjoyable and the car loved it, even it does cleaning again.

Paul

Great positive attitude considering the appalling weather!

Glad the day was salvageable despite your weather prediction of scorchio wink.

See you at the next NE event which I think is Raby thumb

Love the 850 parked between you - my da had a Mediterranean-blue one with tan upholstery in the mid 60's when they first came out. That was followed by probably my all-time favourite 850 coupé, sky-blue - such fun for an 18 yr old when I managed to get my hands on it laugh
