I know that Rog gets all the praise these days so as a mark of respect to my local specialist S + H Motors, i have created this thread.

Today I took my car in cause of an odd knock noise, the problem turned out to be spectacular dose of coupe paranoia as nothing was found to be at fault. Still they lubed and clean everything and filled up some fluids, tightened everything, rotated my tires, and gave me a courtesy car for the day.

I came back to pick up my coop once i recieved my phone call to be greeted with a bill for?......

£0

They didnt even charge me for the courtesy car. They pointed out that the clutch was going, which i knew, and when I asked what they charge for a new clutch to be supplied and fitted i got a figure of just over £350 (they did give an exact figure but i've forgotten it). The new clutch would come with a 2 year unlimited milage warranty too so i may have to take her down the pod a few times

Anyways, Rogs not the only great garage out there.

Ahh excellent. Shall remember them for the future. I have a small oil leak that could do with attending to.

I will give them a bell as no one down here wants to have anything to do with it

They are indeed top drawer. I take my present coop and used to take my NA there when i had it.

Have always been very helpful and know the car very well (a special shout out to Damian) and great value for money.

They have even installed a bunch of my mods even though they weren't standard components and found various issues that were becoming a pain in the aris to sort (door locks doing funny things in the cold weather, small hard to trace leaks and aircon/heating issues plus wiring).

Big up to them, they are tremendous.

Just what I need

I have a small leak that I want sorted and a few other niggly bits tidying up.

Good excuse to see some old Uni mates as well

Forgot to add that despite not finding a problem or even hearing the knock themselves, i was told that if it was happening again i could simply pull up outside and a mechanic would jump in and come for a drive with me so he could hear it first hand.

Gotta love a team which see intermitent faults as a challenge rather than a nuisance.

Good old coupe paranoia

You can relax now Truffle. Well for a while anyway

I have used S+H a few times and they have always been great. I was a bit worried when I first set eyes on their premises but I have always been looked after

I always highly recommend them, they have worked on all my Fiats for about 7 years now. Never been ripped off and they always get the job done when they say they will and are reasonably priced, 10% discount for FCCUK members (got to show your memebership card).

The owner Ian drives a Sprint Blue Plus and loves it.
