After getting rid of my R plate 20VT a couple of years back, I fancy another. This time it has to be a Plus or an LE though and as I plan to keep it for a long time, I want one that stands out from the crowd. Whats the pros/cons of each one and which would you go for? I assume both are equal in terms of performance but does either model drive differently?

If it was me I would like a Plus. I much prefer the Black leather recaro interior over the Black/Red of the LE

Personally I would buy a Plus. It's just a matter of your own taste really. On the LE, I don't like the titanium coloured bits (seriously, why make a feature out of having a body-coloured dash strip, which EVERY review ever written always remarks on) and then make it a different colour? Don't like the titanium round the rear lights either. The seats - bit loud/garish for me. I think the Plus looks better body-wise than the standard car, and the small red trimmings just set it apart.

But that's just me, and maybe, just maybe, I'm biased!

I think we're in for an all day battle on this one though!

A Plus....the thought of all the red leather gives me a horrible shudder,
besides unless you garage the car it'll fade to pink!!

I would get a plus, I wouldn't get an LE, mainly because the pluses are newer so you'll get a better example (oh and the LE's have an awful interior)

Plus for me too, although with some of the prices of LEs recently these look good value.

I have had both models and the LE feels more special and I have had 2 of those
Both great models down to personal taste I suppose but the titanium parts look great inside and out the black and red Recaros look fab, also the car feels more exclusive

I've had a standard Coupe and a Plus and would only have a Plus again, the LE is too 'red' and red isn't one of my fave colours by a long way.

You should ask Ijaz, he's had 14 Coupes I think now.

Red le everytime, interior looks better in the flesh and the red leather lightens up the interior.

I like the red/black interior of the LE. To me the red stiching in the Plus looks like a afterthought. However I have to agree witht the above statement on the LE dash strip.

If I could choose any spec, I's have a yellow plus style, but with plain black Recaros

I too felt that the red/black interior in the LE was a bit full on.
Plus I wanted a bit of a later car. I do however prefer the dark wheels on the LE's i think they look better than the split spoke late 20vt/plus alloys.

If it was me I would buy a 20VT(6) and put Plus skirts on it.

I thought id add a few words cos ive recently bought an ink black turbo plus . I like the unique colours the LE's offer - Vinci grey etc - but again the red leather was too much for me personaly. After viewing a few standard coops and then seeing the one i eventually bought the decision was easy cos i fell in love straight away. Its got the wow factor for me,inside and out.

I'd have to say an LE, not on the basis of thats what I happen to have but rather thats why I have it.

I looked at both an LE and a Plus and the more unusual bits of the LE did it for me. I love the titainium bits and wheels. I love the red and black leather of the seats, door cards, wheel etc etc. That and the fact that only the LE carries a unique build number, all add to that special feeling.

When buying a car you need to think about what will it be like to get into into sometime down the road at 8.30 on cold wet monday morning and how special it will feel. Each and every time I get into mine I get the special feeling knowing that this is no ordinary car in terms of how it looks on the outside, inside and how it goes.

The Plus is also very nice and I would be more than happy to own one of them too but I think its just too close the other models to be really special. My LE is also Chrono Grey which makes it even more unusual and rare and thats what I like.

Come on, it speaks for itself. A plus is hard to distinguish from a vt6 or even a 20vt. An LE instantly greets you with an abrupt smack in the face and screams "HEY I'M LIMITED EDITION AND I DEMAND TO BE RESPECTED". Where as a Plus however whispers discretely "Hi there, I'm a plus". So then: L.E, L.E, L.E (Non biased of course!!!!!!!!!!!
