How about..
1) A post criticising people for posting, and not searching;
2) A post that is sarcastic?

That's 8 people now:

Ed, stan, petep, mitch, Turbo verde, me, carlt, GrahamC.

GotAGreenOne, I'm afraid it's a bit late for suggestions, but perfect timing for joining in.

So Mr Starr - are you partaking?

TV - that is the sort of thread that is likely to crop up in the anything else section and be posted by coupecraig. You need a title that does not fully explain the topic, a reference somewhere to ginger hair (usually vickster supplies this) and craig saying "ha" or even "ha ha" or perhaps "ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha". True story!

Hope that helps.

Can i clarify the rule below

'You may elect at any time to swap up to eight of your numbers for ones that are not on your card. You must post on here when you swap a number and what you are swapping.'

So i can see a thread that is on the list, but not on my bingo card and make a swap at that time, and i can do this to a maximum of 8 times?

Or it it a one time only swap of anything between 1 and 8 numbers?

That's the fella. You take one you think you are not going to get and swap it for one you have spotted. You can do this up to 8 times - all at once or separately.

I have now clarified the rules

Thanks MJ

Sorry if I'm being thick, but can't we just swap the numbers over to make a line when the relevant posts are posted? Or is there a date when the swaps have to be in by?

Skins - you can indeed do that, but if you use your swaps up early on to do that you increase your chances of not completing your card first. And it is the person who completes their whole card who gets the stupendously big prize - probably.

Add to that that when you post up that you are swapping, you are alerting your rivals to the fact that there is a post that matches that number somewhere - a number they may have without needing to use a swap.

What a dilemma!

Um, are people prohibited from using their own posts as spots? And if not, why not?

Now I just need a quiet day in the office to start thread spotting (no chance at the moment)

I don't think that should be allowed either, especially as technically I haven't deleted it, therefore any mods can still see it and score from it

It was petep's post and it definitely counts - but not for petep as he posted it. If you spotted it before it was deleted, you can always keep it in reserve for a future swap.

Ed, I was in a bit of a dilemma there - I felt deleting it would be obtaining an unfair advantage, so I left it. It has now been deleted and the fact that mods can see it in the deleted section does not mean that they can still count it if they failed to spot it whilst it was "live".

Hee hee, I deleted it because I assumed it would force you to discount it because it would give mods an unfair advantage.
Great minds obviously don't think alike

I saw it (in fact posted on the thread) - will have to check my card

Personally, I think it shouldnt count as it was a deliberate attempt to score points for people (although if it does count, I'll be swapping later!)

SOrry i meant Petep not Skins. I still dont think it should count

It was only posted specifically because of the Bingo, it wasn't a genuine post.

Ooh a bit of controversy and so early on. Okay, okay, I'll say it doesn't count. This is for two reasons

Firstly, it will annoy skins! Only joking!

Secondly, it's only a matter of time before we get a new all caps post! I can bide my time!!!

Just to be clear from this point on, though - deliberate posts do count.
