Hello all, I've just taken the plunge and bought my first Italian Car- 20 vt coupe. Decided to buy a coupe after falling in love with Italian cars having driven several Integrales but didn't want to inherit their obvious frailties. My coupe came with new turbo, brakes, cambelt etc. and cost little over £2k. This is by far the best value performance car I've owned. If I was to rate the fiat at 8/10 it compares to previous cars as follows: Subaru Legacy B4 twin turbo '99 7/10. Golf VR6 (heavily modded) 8/10. BMW E36 M3 '97 5/10. Civic Type R '02 6/10. Celica GT4 '91 6/10. Golf mk1 GTI conv. '89 7/10. My dream would be to own a good EVO 2 Integrale but for the money the coupe pi**es all over it. How would everyone else rate their other cars against their coupes?

Well being a one-make forum, you're bound to get an unbiased opinion Personally I've only ever had 90's hot hatches, and on most counts the coupe is in a different league.

Coopless!

I think that the Audi Coupe is the ultimate, next the Ford RS500 (200'S ARE TOO FCCUKIN RARE) but must be the genuine article with single nut wire BBS's and the touring car, M3 whupping BHP!
After that my dads XJS 6.0 V12 kicks ass over 50 mph and puts the coop (and many other cars) to shame

I prefer my n/a Coupe to my new 210bhp Civic Si, it wasn't as fast as the Honda is, but it felt faster and more special.

I can't compare to my other current car though as they are completely different.

I agree - it's not the speed that matters. Driving the coupe is so much more *fun* than driving my Leon 20vt...
