Right should get car back in the morning. Asked what work had been done and its had all 20 valves replaced and all teh various seals etc. My questions are:

How much will it have costed and how long should i give it all to settle in before full bore is applied?

Ben post it in technical queries. You might get a better response there There are a few on here that have had valves changed and will know the cost and the running in procedure

I'm in Ireland so the price may not be the same but...expensive and mostly labour. I had 7 valves replaced and the head skimmed cost €2800 or £1700 this included a service, belts, water pump and tensioners along with a few other bits while the head was off.

Running in advice was simple..take it steady for the first 1000km!

Linnane Fiat in Rathnew, Wicklow. Not cheap but they genuinely know Coupes. Get all the work done there.

There are a few guys in Dublin who do Alfa's but had a few problems. Like the 'expert' taking the car for a test run and telling me it was fine..'Flies mate..proper pocket rocket' and didn't realise it had a broken turbo despite the gauge not showing any boost..
