Would have to be a few weeks after Christmas at the earliest for me though.

Probably someone who knows the places your talking about is a better person to organise. I think once some times and places get organised then more people will show interest.

Ok I'm not the most organised person, but I can do a trip up and find a suitable pub with carpark on route.

Karl offered to do some organizing on the other thread I think, and he managed to get a great turnout for the highest meet

Worked in kendal a couple of years back and the road has some mental fog, one minute everything is clear next you couldnt see a thing for about 30 secs

What's happening with this?

Was over the Lakes last week, in Keswick for a course.
Had an excellent drive over - there are some absolutely brilliant roads.

If we go over the Lakes, then hopefully it will be a tad less wet than it was last week! Definitely not the best weather for an outward bound course.

Finally, if we do get sorted with this, how many people would fancy making it an overnighter?
I could definitely be up for camping or B&B so we could find a nice pub to have a few pints and a chat on the Saturday night.

I've stopped in the accomodation at this place a few times with the mini club. It's ideal for a group and is just at the start of the climb up Kirkstone Pass.

Well guys, if there is some dates and somewhere to stay, then us scottish boys will probably be tempted down!

Your right - unless a date is finalised difficult to plan accomodation. I'd have though somewhere near Penrith would be suitable - A66 into the Lakes and approx 40 mins from the border. The Westmorland Hotel at Tebay does single room at &65 b&b but a discount may be poss if there's a large group staying. Is it too far down though for the Highland Host?
