Thanks Carl, have found a car described as a Plus but none of the above except for the strut brace. Don't know about the chassis number - what should I be looking for if I ring the guy? If it doesn't have all the above is it a 6?

Thanks again Carl, it would appear to be a 6 and not a Plus (goddammit!) Oh well, will keep looking. Cheers

why does it have to be a plus??the only difference between a plus are a few tartish details which dont make the car any faster/handle any better/brake any quicker, all they add is insurance cost although i must admit i like the side skirts and front bumper spats but thats only reason i would buy a plus over a 20vt and it would only cost £200 to add the skirts/sparts,about £20 to paint the calipers,£100 for strut brace ect

Well my boyfriend (the f*cker ) has bought himself a 20vt recently just to play with while his Evo VIII (FQ300 with 370 bhp!) goes in for servicing and his vt seats are just fine. I like the styling mods on the Plus but the prices they are commanding just cannot be justified

And this is a 20VT(6). The side skirts are colour coded but straight unlike the plus/LE ones.

Another thing you could try, if you know the licence plate of the vehicle, is to input it into the RAC data search:- RAC Data check If it's a plus it'll say 20v turbo plus

his vt seats are just fine. They're comfortable but not supportive. Big difference between 20vt armchairs and his Evo's Recaro's.

You Call Recarros tartish Go wash your mouth out and hope that CarlT does not see your comments Im too unwell to bother retaliating to be honest. We all know anything bar a Plus is inferior. Ok maybe an LE especially a slut red one .

What are you after in particular, any preference? I think that when you see a car, you either like it or not regardless of which model it is. Good luck

Sounds like someone is trying to justify why they didn't get the better model. Normal 20vt seats are not very nice. If I had to get another coupe I wouldn't even consider a normal 20vt, plus or LE only IMHO. justify??erm why?if i wanted a plus i would go and buy one, simple as but i dont see why they warrent an extra grand on the price of a 20vt when they are no better to drive :)my 20vt seats were fine, you must just have a fat ass

Jayzee, I have posted a wanted on the forum but basically - having spent more time on here and seeing a few more coupes - I'm after a 20vt/20vt[6]/Plus. Def need leather (black) and aircon, Porto blue or yellow Originally had a budget of £3000ish but have found a few more pennies so just looking for the perfect car! I'm very fussy though so may be some time before I find one, though I think I could navigate the forums etc in my sleep now!

Erm 3k wont buy a decent 20vt 6 infact thats just enough for a decent 20vt really.
Look for a decent one, as apposed to high reg & spec as you will end up buying a shed otherwise.

I bought mine of a forum member in spetember for £6300 see here If you want a 20VT(6) you gonna need to rethink the budget i would guess £5k min and a plus is the better part of £7k £3k will get a reasonable 20VT Good luck

Found a 'Plus' within my (revised) budget which turned out to be a 20vt[6] so thats what actually started this thread. Just doing some more research ....... I know I can't get a Plus for that money, maybe next year !!!

From a point of view of a Coupe dummy... all these models look the same to me exterior wise I suppose it's what inside that counts? Good luck with your search, though. Hope you will find the perfect one

Something to bear in mind is this..... if you buy a 20vt6 and put side skirts on it, you have modified your car. Therefore you need to declare this.

Only thing I am missing is the Recaros, which I can live without.

Matter of taste, the LE seats look fantastic in the flesh and suit the Black and Vinci and Red so well! People just seem them and get scared by em, actually see one in the flesh and its different.

Something you will seriously fall for will eventually turn up Happened to me with both the coops I've had. Neither was what I was actually looking for but they fitted the bill for me and haven't regretted either (/me runs off to hug a big tree). Wanted a turbo but bought an n/a with a really good history which still scared/exhilarated me to drive. I only owned a mk3 1.4 Golf at this time and just thought that will do for starters (until I learn to drive something with a modicum of poke) and it was a great car. Wanted a low mileage plus and bought a high mileage 20VT(6) (with superb history) go figure! Helped that the 6 had the six speed box, plus alloys and a start button which I craved and thought "forget about the body kit and strut brace" (although I now have the latter). It will just feel right and the more lemons that you look at the more you'll know it's right when you find the right one. The more lemons looked at the better IMHO.
Up yours Photobucket.

that is the a lovely colour combo, i dont like ink black and i dont like tan leather but that just works so well. as for all these comments about LE seats being tarty etc well your wrong end of story. But if we were all the same this world would be a very boring place to live. Paul R
