That is indeed a replica Celica GT4 (Toyota Celica GT4 4WD Turbo) boonet vent. That doesnt look nice on the Coupe,it ruins the lines and curves of the Coupe.Just my opinion though.

Mariusz,

Just so you know - on the Ferrari bonnet scoop that Cadamuro do the uk supplier had some problems with the scoop sinking due to the heat from the bonnet. Hope you take that into account.
WIll be very interested to see the bonnet - looking good so far.

so will these be LEGAL replacements for the Fiat standard part? if so it could well save a few cars from the scrapyard in the sky if they are a good price.

Normal price it is 699 euro / 474 GBP, but I can't send one bonnet.. becouse this item is too big and shipping will be very expensive by delivery company, so I can accept only group buy order. Price for group buy order: 399 GBP, shipping cost 35 GBP for one bonnet for order 10 bonnets.. 18 GBP for order 20 bonnets.

All fixings are like in standard bonnet.. fixings have flat irons on the inner site.. This is very good construction of fixings.

Looks great. Have you come up with any solution to using the standard gas filled struts?

Yes mate, absolutely.. you can use the standard gas filled struts.. I think you, can use only one.. but I will check it.. Fixings for gas filled struts I did in standard place in bonnet.. You have to screw this pin from your bonnet..

This looks superb!

My only doubt would be the heat from engine issue, and could that in itself cause ripples or sinking of the bonnet.

I wonder how much difference to performance it might make, with such a light bonnet, compared with the standard heavy one.

And considering that Fiat no longer produce the OEM part anymore, this is very useful.

smile

This bonnet 16kg, std bonnet 32kg. Good weight saving!

Considering our standard bonnets are prob worth a couple of hundred second hand this could be popular at the group buy price of £399 + £35 shipping. Basically a GRP bonnet for a couple of hundred.

How near to a production run of 10 are you Mariusz?

Any testing to see if the engine heat would be an issue and can the std bonnet lining be used?

James

Mariusz: have you thought about using a bonnet stick instead of gas struts?

Makes sense i suppose. Seeing as the GRP bonnet weighs half of the original, it should be ok to just use one of the two struts.

Very nice Mariusz. Have you had any time to weigh the bonnet?
