Well??

I dont think many people know just how bloody loud a Coupe is, to be honest i didn't till recently. Get someone to drive your coupe off from where your stood and your in for a shocker!

What you hear inside is NOTHING!! First time someone else drove mine i had the peco off it in 30 mins i was horrified how loud it was outside!

They sound awsome but i dont think people appreciate just how they sound outside. Especially with a Ragazzon!

Yes my mate had a blast in a car park whilst I watched. It's sexy seeing your pride 'n' joy from a different perspective! my coop had the standard exhaust on and it sounded a bit tame tho.

not heard mine with the new exhaust on although i have to admit to being disappointed when i heard it with the supersprint....not loud enough!!!! have to get cowboy to give me a drive by with mine!!

I must admit being in the passenger seat of mine with the window down when my brother put his foot down i was shocked, thought the devil him self was screaming down my ear.

That with a Peco cat back on, god knows what it would be like with out a cat on!

OOOOW and when the MOT man drove it on the ramps the other day sounded great just starting off slow, oh yer!

Ive got a 3" peco on mine.
My brother jumped in it not long after i'd bought it and opened it up down the street and it sounds awesome

Yep gotta agree, a mate of mine drove it around town, and i could not believe how loud it was. especially the fluttering noise . although I hardly hear any thing inside even with the windows down.

I`ll need to get my wee brother to take my car out again so I can get some video of it and experience the look+sound from a pedestrian view .

Catching the odd reflection in big shop windows is just no substitute for seeing the car from outside .

Since I've had a nice stainless cat back put on, mine sounds absolutely gorgeous - and that's from what I can hear from inside the car.

Hopefully, it sounds even better and louder from outside the car

The Coop is almost deafening. Having had it go past me in a another car and on the street I now know why so many people turn and look. Good job you don't have to go fast to make loads of noise tho, but you can to a Top Gun jet fighter fly-by at will! I've recently taken to buzzing convertibles on full boost, upsetting their pompousnessm only because I now KNOW it does. Of all things about the Coop, looks, acceleration, soul, if they get a full tilt ear load, they always comment on the noise many times.

I hadn't realised exactly how loud my n/a was until I bought my turbo. It had a straight through 4" stainless system on and I knew it was loud but had no idea what it sounded like from outside the car, I thought I did but I really didn't.

That was until I was driving my newly acquired turbo back home and a mate was driving my n/a. We entered the motorway with me pootling along getting the car warmed up gently and my mate floored it past. I thought I was being overtaken by some form of road legal aircraft.

Yes got my GF to do a drive by sounded ace with a 4" Peco, kids at school love the sound as well. It's not chav but sounds deep and powerful. Love it!

One day when me and the wife were out in separate cars I kept overtaking her then dropping back and doing it again. She just thought I was nuts so I told her I was doing it so she could tell me what it sounded like.

"Oh, like a sports car" she says

I havent had the chance to hear mine yet but my wife said it sounds very nice

I probably annoy the neighbours as when I start it up as it seems to echo off of the side of the house off of the side of the house

4 or 5 of us went through the Hatfield tunnel together on full chat, now THAT was a cool noise!

I was at the back and I saw the look on peoples faces! Kevins car sounds like a banshee from hell!

Too loud for me but, wow. You got used to the noise when driving but we were in a petrol staion filling up and when he started it all the birds flew away, kids hid behind their mums and everyone looked round looking for the mushroom cloud

ones with decat are ALOT louder, such a nice sound too, not bomby etc like some chavy nova with a 5" pipe.

Had a classic once, I went to a local airfield and near it are some very quiet country roads, I was with my Dad and HurstyMofo and his 270bhp LE, which had full decat system.
he wanted me to do some drive by's so he could hear how loud it was.

So I go off down the road, leaving them at the side, I go past so cyclists fairly slowly, then boot it down the road past them. I then turn round to come back, by this point the cyclists have stopped to have a big rant to my dad/Hursty (in german accent) 'he ist driving too fast! I vill report im! Anyway they were having a good old rant and as they were mid flow I came howling round the corner they were stood on, tyres screaming, exhuast SO loud as I cane past them in 2nd gear, totally drowning them out.

Hursty and dad really struggling to keep a straight face! Was a classic moment. Stupid moaning women, the roads had no other cars in site and it wasnt like I was doing it all day, I didnt even boot it past them and gave them plenty of space etc.

Coupe does sound quality though, I want a decat but I'd fear for my turbo life then as the removal of back pressure makes them smoke I believe.

Another time when I was driving that same LE was in the dartford tunnel, proper opened her up in 2nd with the windows down, OH the noise! managed to just tap the rev limiter for a split second in 2nd gear, causing a loverly big pop BANG from the exuaust, sounded immense.

Dartford tunnel, now thats what I need :D, havent been through it in ages!

Only time I go is when I go to Bluewater with the GF, and she isnt too keen on having the windows open while I act the child!

Though I also recall with vast satisfaction the face of the chap in the Z4 with whom I'd been ambling at around 80 up the Brenner Pass from the Italian side. He was driving top down and looking very smug as we swapped places. We got to the tunnel, I dropped back a little, into third, and booted it...
