All you need to know: http://www.circuitcellar.com/avr2006/winners/DE/AT2625.htm

This is for the MK1 version; you'll need to find a new display (that one's not available any more - I bought a batch and then the remainder burnt when the warehouse caught fire) and change the code a little to make it work.

Literally, the code change is *miniscule* - some of the displays have 61 instead of 60 segments, some work the other way up.

If you're interested in producing it, I'm happy to talk it through with you.

Barnacle,

Have you ever considered developing this further? I know its 100% complete as it stands, but I've been pondering creating a similar device with a 128x64 display, with some fancy graphics etc. Of course it would all be eye candy and offer no extra functionality!

I'm currently trying to develop a boost gauge which records boost/ max min and rpm. Doesnt interface with the ECU, and will *hopefully* be able to pick RPM up from a 12v feed. So would only need a connection to the inlet manifold. Anyway I'm rambling totally off topic.

Ben

P.s. I have no intentions of selling any of my stuff/copying yours etc. I'm not one for nicking other peoples stuff!

The issue is less one of display but of the space to mount it. Some of the 128*64 displays out there might fit in the available space, but mounting tends to be tricky.
