How can you criticise Peterborough?
I've seen some beautiful smog displays from the local power station...

FFS - yet again, a thread has been turned into an anti-capitalism rant

I must admit every time i go shopping i am scared to death! and that was in my 9 year old 105k car worth 2.5kish..... god knows what i will be like with my replacement \:\(

sadly the only other option is to drive a car you dont care about, but why on earth should you have to do that......

Washing the coupe is a buttock clenching experience for me, as you nearly always spot summat, but as long as people dont care about other peoples property there is nowt you can do. I feel the grin i get from having a nice car is worth the odd grimace or too.

Mind you it doesnt help not having protective strips down the side....... am sure Mini Cooper owners will have the same pain on occasion.

carlt you are right of course, mechanicals SHOULD be more important that the odd ding, but most of us want to have a gorgeous looking car, and when we have that we want to keep it.

i say cant we have it all?? ;\) (esp with bodyshops like you knocking around \:D )

The place should be nuked. (offence intended! ;\) ) I've live in about 10 different towns. Posh is just scum.

Damage to front bumper was done in South-West Wales \:\?

Although I agree, Peterboghorror isn't the nicest place to live...

Having thought about what i posted - the fact that we park our coops well out of harmsway, but walk past jags and porsches parked amongst the rank and file motors I've decided it's *us* not the coops.
We simply love our cars and take care to keep them looking nice, and any little car park ding hurts \:\( This would probably apply if we owned the jags or porsches. The ones we see parked amongst the ordinary cars, well their owners probably don't give them a second thought

I had mine resprayed and restored to what I would say was a very good condition.

However you have to be realistic, either its a show car or its your car.

I use mine, it will get stone chips and dents and while I try my best to avoid them parking away etc I know its going to happen. If I had not come to terms with this I would be insane by now

I purchased my car on knowing it was mechanically looked after and cleaned the bodywork up after

I've had mine for ten years. Nearly every panel has a dent or a scratch or something that prevents it from being perfect. After a while (mebbe 5 years!) you start remembering the scratches as old friends too \:\)
Coupes have character and wear their scars with pride!

Morat i like you attitude..... and wished i shared it, however sadly i cant bring myself to look at it like that.

i just try and pretend they are not there ;\)

i wonder if these discussions go on on the supercar forum???

i could just imagine the look the "chips away" guy would have if he came out to work on a car and it turned out to be an enzo..... no pressure mate \:D
