Hi everyone.

I have been without my coupe for a while now (big ends let go 20,000 miles on new engine) so it's time for 2.4 \:\)

I have just spoken to barbz and will be ordering forged pistons/rods etc next week.

I'm very excited and have enjoyed looking at the evolving coupe "tuning" while being coupless. I will have a few bits for sale soon as I will be binning the charge cooler for a start.

For the record my coupe was producing about 330 bhp and 330 ftlb when it let go. It had shed loads of torque from low down and was very linear. When it let go it was only being driven slowly \:\? Anyway engine being stripped soon so hopefuly will find out what went wrong.

Got to go now (earn some dosh) I look forward to your input and advice and any I can give you.

Cheers

Frog

Me too :), well nearly.

Been coopless for 2 yrs now, but 2.4 being installed as we speak.

My life has been turned upside down since the floods of 2005, with home and business being worst affected. We also lost 2 cars in the process.
The inevitable nightmare of rellocating for a year whilst the house got rebuilt was nothing compared to the problems and knock-on effect this has had.

However, the last few months of normality has given me time to work on a garage-load of bits, stripping, reconditioning and painting every mortal pipe, bracket, etc under the bonnet.
If anyone would be kind enough to host some recent pics for all to share, i would be grateful, just pm me your e addy.

Don't know if i'll make the big coop meet in the lakes as it will still need mapping and run in, but if i do, i'll just have to tootle along at the back!

Glad to see the forum is as popular as ever. Thanks to flyingcustard/bunflash for their support and the odd coop adrenalin fix during this time, it's kept me going and made this long period bearable ;\)

Rob.

Hi Fergie/Paul.
Yeah, it was one hell of an episode!

Kinda been following the forum off and on but noticed a few of the gang haven't shown face for a while;
Rosso, Roddy, Gibbo, Catman11, Penny and Graham etc.
Have they all converted?

This is how it should have come out of Torino!
