Weather forcast for sunday @ crail is meant to be sunny according to bbc weather lets hope because there would be no point trying to get off the line if wet but if dry we will kick the 200sx arses .

What a load of cr*p. When we did the first 200SX Vs. Coupe day at Santa Pod not one std S14 did under 14.5s. One of the std coupes did a 13.9s run though.
Shame I can't make it up or I would've teach them a thing or two \:D

The only way a standard S14 running a 13.5 1/4 would be on a downhill drag strip!

Quoted time for the standard S14 is 14.7 - 14.9 @ 90ish. They have very long gear ratios and the intake system is compromised. Replace the intake with an airbox & Apexi filter, decat with standard boost, and you'd be looking at similar power to a 20VT. They weigh around 1267kgs and so have a minor weight advantage, along with RWD off the mark.

On the whole 200's aren't the easiest thing on the strip, they have issues launching with increased power. The suffer from axle tramp and it can be tough to find a launch between wheel spin & bog down. Check here here for power & (some) 1/4 mile times.

As a guide a 270-300bhp S14(a) will produce mid-high 13's with someone who can launch.

I thought I'd add some info on the competition!

Good Luck to the Coupes \:\)
