You can have it, if i can remember where i put it and pay for the postage, but doubt it would be Monday when you get it I can pay for courier service (DHL, UPS that sort of crap) if you don't mind! Usually takes them couple of days. The main issue is remembering where you put it. I also noticed there are different sized ones according to the gaps you want to measure, I take it it's the right one not for 0.5mm gaps cheers V.

begbie....what big end bearings do you have in this project? i need the best bearings cause...i get again, for third time, oil pressure problems cause the main end bearings....
thanks Using standard bearings as far as i know. If you have gone through 3 sets, then there is something seriously wrong with your engine / oil pump / crank / etc.. V - Will have a look this evening for you then and yes, it should be the right stuff as you get the chart with it too

There’s no rush for a proper job, mine has taken 3 years and it’s still not ready too. I suppose I could have paid Barbz ££££££ and have it done in 2 weeks but what’s the fun in that? Don’t rush B good things come to those who wait. (I hope)

Not taken any pics this time round but a couple of updates. Gear linkages have been swapped over, but now need to make 2 brackets to hang the downpipe off as it seems my 5 speed linkages has it, where as the 6 speed doesn't. Painted various engine bits and fitted them to the engine (not all of it, as not essential to me fitting the engine) Helix 6 paddle clutch and clutch cover all fitted up on the flywheel now. Problems that have occured along the way, my old 5 speed dipstick doesn't line up correctly on the gerabox, so need a 6 speed one. The part that holds the gear linkages to the gearbox doesn't fit correctly either, so need a 6 speed one (hopefully CarlT will be sorting me out with these parts ) Other issues found when trying to fit the gearbox, is that one the front of the engine the 6 speed has a stud fitment, the 5 speed has a threaded hole, so there is me and Begbie Snr trying to push the gearbox on and couldn't work out why, wasn't till the neighbour spotted it, so have drilled the thread out and ground some of the engine to allow a nut to be fitted onto the threaded stud. Other problem, is the 5 speed box, has a small recess on the top, to clear the bolts and plate on the engine for the water gallery, so took an angle grinder to the 6 speed box to make the recess, fingers crossed it will fit next weekend and the engine will be back in the car

amazing... means engine will fire up and car will move on its own sometime before easter? Well done! Wouldn't it be easier to bolt the exhaust and inlet manifold beforehand? I found rather difficult bolting the tubular manifold on the spot... V.
