Ah the racing coupe again! I'd love to find out some more about this and the series it ran in, but all the sites i find are foreign!
Anyone know any more about this particular racing coupe?
The car belonged to Peter Rasmussen indeed. I saw this car in action at the Zandvoort circuit on sunday september 23td 2000. He explained to me this was the best front driven car he ever competed in
Here's his comments to the car I received from him.
According to regulations for DANISH TOURINGCAR CHALLENGE 2000.
The car handles superbly and is easy to set-up.
Total weight is reduced to 1000 kg.
Brakes are 315 x 28 mm disks and 4 piston callipers, no ABS as this is not allowed.
The engine is totally rebuild and prepared for normal aspiration (turbo is not allowed). At the moment it produces 180 bhp. but at least 200 bhp. is needed to be competitive. To achieve this new camshafts are to be expected.
The gearbox is original, but with a lower final drive 4.38.
I designed front and rear dampers myself and had them made by LEDA (UK), they are adjustable for optimal setup. Springs are height adjustable, spring stiffness depends of racetracks.Lateron the car was sold to someone in Turkey who raced it.
Don't know about the current whereabouts of the car.
